    Student Council Food Drive

    During the week of October 29 – November 2, at Garfield School, all of the classes will be participating in a food drive run by the student council.  Every class will have a collection box.  Students are invited, but not required, to bring in donations of canned food.  It will be donated to the Central High School Read more

    Garfield McTeacher Night

    Support Garfield by eating at the Northgate (E. Kimberly Rd.) McDonalds on October 24th from 4 – 7:oo pm!  The goal is to raise $1300 which is $100 more than last year.  Cookies will be for sale that night – 2 for $1.00 and all proceeds go straight to Garfield from cookie sales as the owner donates the cookies.

    Fair Housing Survey

    Garfield Friends and Families,

    Davenport, Moline, and Rock Island are working together on a plan to expand access to housing in the community. The plan will  identify any barriers to housing choice due to race, ethnicity, national  origin, religion, sex, disability, or whether a household has children.  It will also look at segregation, poverty, and housing needs in our area.
