The last day of school this year will be Tuesday, May 28, with an awards ceremony at 9 a.m. and an early dismissal at 12:50. The fifth-grade celebration will be on Wednesday, May 22. Field Day, with an all-school cook-out, will be Friday, May 24.

The annual Garfield Talent Show will be held on Tuesday, May 21, at 1 p.m.

The Gator Band presents its Spring Recital/Concert on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 in the Garfield Library at 6:30 – 7:15 pm. Gator Band students will present their solos that they have been working on for the Jungle Bungle Practice Contest. For the first time on Thursday, Feb. 7th, students will demonstrate their science projects and answer questions for 30 minutes. Projects will be judged this year, with Best of Shows advancing onto the “Earth Grant Student Showcase Event” at Davenport Public Works on April 27th.
