For Every Child

Positive Behavior Intervention and Support, or PBIS, is an ongoing problem-solving process based on research that creates positive behaviors while reducing behavioral disruptions. It is a whole school approach with the goal of preventing behavior problems instead of reacting to them. The PBIS team at Eisenhower Elementary sets procedures and common language to teach and reinforce expected behaviors for students. By using data, we address problem behaviors and develop solutions. With PBIS, we teach our Eisenhower students expected behaviors instead of punishing.
