    IT IS A GREAT DAY TO BE A BLUE DEVIL ~ here are your Daily Announcements:

    Central girls soccer had a big win in Burlington on Friday night, winning 4-1. Ava Soliz had 2 goals, Kaighin Frost and Keely Behan both added goals as well. Maggie Johnston contributed 2 assists. The team looks to continue their winning ways this week as they head to Assumption on Wednesday, and Cedar Rapids-Washington on Friday.

    Attention All AP Test Takers: Pre-Administration Sessions have been assigned this week (Tuesday and Thursday) in the Library.  Please check your Flexisched for your appropriate session.  If you were not assigned this week; you will be NEXT week.  If you have questions; please see Mr. Kingery, School Counselor

    Tickets for the Junior/Senior Prom are on sale in the Activities Office – before school, after school & between classes. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Remember you must have a school ID to get into the dance and into After Prom. If you are bringing a guest from another school you need to pick up an approval form in the activities office. The dance is Saturday April 27th from 7-10 at The Gold Leaf in Davenport. This year’s theme is “To The Moon and Back” Seniors you will be entered into a drawing for a TV and other prizes to be given away at the dance. Prom King and Queen will be crowed at the dance.

    Remember all detentions must be severed in order to attend the dance and After Prom.

    After Prom is right after the dance at Northpark Mall. Doors open at 10:30 and are locked at 11:15.  After Prom is for Juniors and Seniors and their dates that they brought to the dance. If you don’t attend the dance you cannot bring a date that is not a Junior or Senior.. You MUST have an ID to get into After Prom.

    Seniors make sure to sign up with Mrs. Hansen’s DC for the senior class meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, during DC time. You will be nominating Prom King and Queen and going over important Senior Picnic information.

    Gear Up after-school tutoring will resume tomorrow night, start early this term and get the help you need to be successful.  Talk to your teachers today.

    This is the final week for ACT Prep sessions before the Junior ACT exam.  Tuesday you can prep for English and Friday you can prep for Math.

    Attention Boys interested in being a part of the award winning, state champion Coed and All-Male Dance teams. There will be a meeting this Thursday during DC time in room 531. Sign up for Mrs. Dennis’s DC time for more information about being a part of these teams. If you can’t make the meeting, see Mrs. Dennis in room 531 for more information.

    FREE Panera Bread, Bagels, etc.  Students & Staff, Ms. Wildermuth & the iJAG Program will have Panera Pick Up Mondays during 4th Block.  Please send students who would like some Panera, with a pass during the 2nd Half of 4th Block to Room 518.  Staff is also welcome to take advantage of this opportunity free of charge, donations towards the 9/10 iJAG Program of Work will be accepted.  If you have any questions please contact Ms. Wildermuth. 

    Current Sophomores and Juniors has it ever been a dream of yours to travel to Europe? Have you ever wanted to see the London Bridge or Big Ben? How about the Eiffel Tower and the Notre Dame Cathedral? Ever wondered what Omaha Beach looked like in Normandy? How about seeing the remnants of the Berlin Wall in Germany? Well, you have the chance to see all of this plus more while experiencing these diverse cultures in June of 2020. What do you need to do? All you need to do is convince your parents to come to the mandatory informational meeting on Tuesday, April 16th at 6pm in Central’s Cafeteria to find out more about this amazing opportunity. If you have any questions or for some reason you can’t attend the informational meeting see Mr. Pigney in room 523 before or after school.
