Attention all current freshman and sophomores: Do you have any interest in Greek Mythology? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to visit the Acropolis and see the Parthenon or the Temple of Zeus? How about a cruise? Well, if any of this interests you, there’s a chance you could go to Greece and experience these things. Mr. Pigney will be leading a tour with current Central Freshman and sophomores during the summer of 2021, to Greece. What do you have to do? Come to the informational meeting at 5pm on Tuesday, October 22nd here in Central’s cafeteria. Interested in learning more, but you can’t make it? See Mr. Pigney in room 521 for more information. Red Ribbon Week Town Hall event is taking place this Thursday, October 24th from 6:30-8:30pm at Bettendorf High School’s Performing Arts Center. This year’s theme is “Stay Drug Free”. If you have questions see Mr. Tatum.
Attention all seniors and senior parents! Senior Salutes or “Baby Ads” are due! Commemorate senior year with a “congratulations” to your senior! Send yours in to yearbook adviser Ms. Ebener or ask her in room 420 for a new form. The first due date is Friday, Oct. 25th and the late date is November 8th with a $15 late fee. See Ms. Ebener with questions.
Bring $1.00 or a canned good to lunch tomorrow to purchase a ticket to the Student/Teacher Volleyball Game. The game will be Monday October 28th During DC Time!! Tickets will also be available the day of.
On Wednesday and Thursday, bring $1.00 or a canned good before or after school to purchase baked goods at the Student Council Hunger Drive Bake Sale! Enjoy a tasty treat during finals!!

Attention softball players there will be a softball meeting today at 3:30 in room 311.
Attention bowlers and those interested, open practice will now be on Wednesday’s, starting tomorrow. The time will be from 3-5pm at Bowlmor Lanes.
FAFSA night is tonight from 5-7 in room 405. Seniors who still need to complete the Application for Financial Aid, bring your parents with your financial information, and experts will help you complete the application on-line.
Congratulations to the girls’ volleyball team on an exciting, 5 set victory last night over Muscatine. The team celebrated their seniors before the match and then were appropriately led by their seniors during the match with Lexi Huntley and Lili Duffield each having 2 Ace serves, Miya Wilkins had 20 kills, Lindsey Smith had 33 digs, and Lexi Huntley recorded 50 assists. Great job everyone!
The girls would like to thank all who came out to watch. It was great to have a student section making some noise for them! We invite you all to come out tomorrow night as the volleyball team will host west here at George Marshall Gym in the first round of regional action. The match will start at 7pm so take a break from studying for finals and come cheer them on!
