  • Stella Rauscher

rauscherVisiting from Germany, we have Stella Rauscher who is attending Central as a sophomore. “Some things were new to me but it was what I expected,” she said. One thing in particular that is different from her school back home is the way classes are schedule. “We can’t choose our different blocks,” Rauscher noted, “they’re given to us.” So far at Central she is involved in swimming. “It’s nice to belong to a group of people,” she noted. During her stay in the U.S., she is looking forward to visiting Chicago. At home, Rauscher enjoys swimming and horseback riding and is fortunate enough to have a host family with a barn and horses. According to Rauscher, her time at Central so far has been successful. “I like it, everyone is really nice.” When asked why she wanted to come to the U.S., she said she wanted to not only improve her English, but she also wanted to do and experience new things. “I was bored in Germany,” she chuckled.
