Announcements for 12-18-09

  • The Bluedevil wrestlers upped their season dual record last night to 6-3 in beating Muscatine, but falling to North Scott. Paul Shumaker and Nate Coonts were the lone Bluedevils to go 2-0 on the night. Other varsity winners were Tim Chapman, Ryan Mena, TayTay Tensley, Payton Shumaker, Josh Behrendt, and Ryan Baumer. Junior Varsity winners included Joey Faison, Quentin Woods, and Adam Mercer Congratulations BlueDevils .

  • A Huge congratulations goes out to Cadet Corporal Brandon Peterson for being selected as the Army JROTC Cadet of the Month. Great Job Brandon. Keep up the good work

  • Congratulations to Alex Dvorak, Cody Curtis and Byron Tiemeier for their 1st places against Bettendorf. Alex Dvorak was a double winner in the 50 free and 100 back.

  • Students-The library is now open until 4:20 Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays so feel free to stay after school and utilize the computers and get homework done. On Wednesdays the library will stay open until 3:20. Best of luck as the term wraps up getting your work completed and doing well on finals.

  • We want to wish all of you a wonderful holiday break starting December 23. Students-the first day of 2nd semester is January 5th. Please note that we will have a homeroom right away on January 5th for you to receive your schedule and a new ID. Students, make sure you report to your homeroom location as soon as you get back from break at 7:45am on January 5th! Don’t forget!

  • Hey you! Yeah, I am talking to you? Who? I am talking to Tre Harris, Jimmy Hean, Hannah Macatee, Zach Hendershott, Alex Lamin, and the Boys’ Swimming Team. I want to remind you to start practicing your talent over winter break to try out for the Variety Show in February. Get your friends together and start developing your innovative skit ideas to have the 2010 Variety Show the best yet!

  • Any girls that are interest in playing Volleyball in Fall of 2010. There will be a meeting today right after school in Room 511!!! 12/18/09

  • If you are on a mock trial team, there will be a brief fifteen minute meeting today after school in the library. You must attend this meeting in order to be on the team this year. Please let Mrs. Heninger know if there is a compelling reason why you cannot attend. We will be discussing meeting times, case release, and the schedule for both teams. See you Friday afternoon

  • Attention B Term Early Graduates: If you have not completed your early graduation paper work, please see Mrs. Pacha in the Guidance Office. Thank you!

  • Students, If you are registered in the Spring for a dual college credit course and have not taken a course with Scott before, please stop in at the guidance office to fill out an application. Applications need to be turned back into the guidance office before Christmas break. Happy Holidays from Scott Community College.

  • Newspaper 14th Block as well as 4th Block Students - Do not forget to pick up and update your stringbooks through issue 5. This is your final project. It is due Monday and worth 20% of your grade.

  • Bricolage is now accepting entries for C term publication. The theme is memories. Bring them to Kemper 13 or 14.

  • Hey Blue Devils! Be sure and stop by the Activities Office to order you “MAC ATTACK” T-Shirts. Then come to the Girl’s Basketball game on Friday, January 15th for the “PINK OUT” wearing your “MAC ATTACK” for breast cancer awareness t-shirt to the game. Stop by the Activities Office for details.

  • Attention Central Students: If you took the PSAT test we have received the test scores and they are in the guidance office. Please stop and pick up your booklet.

  • Attention all cheerleaders: Money for sweats are due today. If your money is not in today you will not be getting sweats! If you have not given coach your ripped poncho you need to do that ASAP!!!!

  • The staff of Indigo Ink would like to wish everyone Happy Holidays and remind you that our cover art contest deadline is TODAY! Also, don't forget to keep writing, drawing, photographing, and painting over your break, we look forward to your future submissions!
