Attention ALL MARSHALL MANIACS: The Maniac Shirts are here!!! Yes, that’s right the Maniac Shirts are here!! You can buy them at the Activities Office for $13.00, so be sure and stop by and get yours for the Basketball season opener against Alleman tonight!!!! 11-27-07

We are starting a new tradition here at Central- SPIRIT SUPPERS! Before and during all of the home basketball games this season, you will be able to purchase dinner for JUST AROUND $5.00! The first Spirit Supper will be at tonight’s boys’ basketball opening game vs. Alleman starting at 6:00 PM at the concession stand. You will be able to purchase a walking taco meal for $4.00 or $5.50 with a drink. Please come hungry and watch the Blue Devils take on Alleman! 11-27

Term 2 Parent/Teacher Conferences are this Wednesday, November 28th from 4-7pm in the Central Café. Please invite your parents to school that evening to pick up your progress report and meet your teachers. Don’t forget, this Wednesday, November 28th from 4-7pm! 11-28

Who would like to purchase some new Central clothes? If you interested in purchasing new Central apparel this week the Athletic Boosters will be selling during lunch time today at the West end of the cafeteria and during the first home boys’ basketball game tonight in the sports lobby. They will also be selling new apparel on Wednesday during conferences. 11-28

If you are in ReadnRap, you need to stop by room 501 and pick up a permission slip for the December 6th ICN event at North High School.  We will be traveling to North High School from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 6th for an ICN session so that you will be introduced to your partners through the ICN.  Come pick up your permission slip as soon as you can. 11-27

There will be a Blue Crew meeting on Wednesday at 7:15 in the LMC. 11-27

Shades of Success/Boys to Men will meet on Wednesday in room 419. Hope to see you there. Meetings are open to all students’ grades 9-12th. Bring a friend and join us! The Hispanic Culture Club will meet on Thursday at 2:40pm in room 419. All are welcome to come and bring a friend. 11-27

Have you ever wanted to reach out and help someone? How about being a peer tutor? If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please sign-up in room 425 with Ms. Teague. We have so many opportunities available to help other students. We need peer tutor in all academic areas. You may choose before school and after school. Please sign-up this week and reach out and help someone. We need lots of peer tutors! 11-30

Due to the large amount of trash being left in the gym in the mornings the intramurals has been cancelled for the rest of this week. If this behavior continues the intramurals will be cancelled for the rest of the year. Please clean up after yourself. 11-29

Attention A term lifeguard students see Mrs. Hansen in the gym to pick up your lifeguard cards. 11-27

Gospel Choir will not rehearse Thursday of this week. 11-29

This is a reminder to all National History Day competitors - if you are planning to go to St. Ambrose for research this Thursday, you must turn in your permission slips as soon as possible. 11-27

To all members of the German Club: There will be a brief, but important meeting this Thursday after school in R 335. 11-29

Hey Key Club members - be sure to be at our meeting today, Tuesday, after school in the cafeteria. We need to discuss some very important information about conferences tomorrow and other upcoming service projects. Also, we need people to bake cookies for our bake sale tomorrow night at conferences! Please bring your individually packaged items to Mrs. Marshall's room tomorrow during the day or when you come to help babysit or sell tomorrow night. See you after school in the cafeteria today! 11-27

Attention all aspiring players: Auditions for this spring's play, "Hay Fever", will be held on Monday, December 10th, in Kahler Auditorium immediately after school. Also, those interested in being an assistant director should seek more information from the main office. 11-28

Newspaper students if you owe anything for the issue, your last chance to receive credit is today. The lab will be open until the basketball game begins. Photographers be sure to see Ms Buttleman after school to make sure all sports activities are covered. Fifth through 9th block don't forget check in. Editors the lab will be open thru conference for final layout. 11-27

We will have representative from Truman State University at 9:00 am and Indian Hill Community College at 1:00 pm in the guidance office today. Stop and get a pass if interested in visiting with them. 11-27

Girls Track & Field open gym begins this week, Tuesday and Thursday at 3:00. Be dressed and ready to go in the gym lobby! 11-27

Congratulations to the Varsity Mens Bowling Team who defeated Bettendorf 3159 to 2833. High scores included Austin Porter with a 280 & 233, Matt Schlueter with a 246 & 232, John Diggs with a 222 & 217, and Ryan Schlueter with a 204 & 225.

Likewise the Men's JV took it to Bettendorf 2756 to 2622. High games included Peter Miller with a 226, Aaron Gruver with a 225, and Ryan Wilson with a 211.

The Women's Varsity and JV lost very close matches but had a great balanced effort from everyone.Next up is Davenport West on Monday 12/3. 11-26
