If you are planning on going to St. Ambrose University on Thursday, November 29th for National History Day research, you need to stop by room 501 and pick up a permission slip.  11-19

Attention all football players who are NOT out for a winter sport: There is a meeting at 2:45pm TODAY in the auditorium. 11-19

Attention all students: V.I.D. Club will not be held tonight. If you still aren’t familiar with V.I.D. Club, it stands for Video, Imaging, and Design; and anyone who has an interest in the digital arts related career fields may join. After Thanksgiving break we will begin production on an actual client’s television spot that will run on MediaCom’s community channel. Don’t miss out on this one! 11-19

Attention all baseball players:  Weightlifting will begin the Monday after Thanksgiving vacation.  All baseball players who are not out for a winter sport should attend on Mondays, Tuesday, and Thursdays right after school. 11-20

Congratulations to the combined Freshman and Varsity "Marching Blue Devils" for being named "Best Band" at this past Saturday's Festival of Trees Parade. The parade concludes a terrific season by all marching band members. Great Job! 11-19

Congratulations to Aaron Askam, Nelson Bates, Matt Flynn, Julia Kiley, and Allison Vandecar for their participation this past weekend as part of the Iowa All-State Honor Band in Ames! They were selected among the most talented high school musicians in the state to perform with the prestigious group. 11-19

Don’t forget to get your tickets for Jingle Jam!  We have a limited amount of tickets, and you wouldn’t want to miss out.  Jingle Jam will be held on Wednesday, November 21st from 8:00 p.m. to 11:30p.m.at the River Center in Davenport.  Besides having a fantastic time dancing, your ticket purchase enters you in a raffle for some great prizes. Jingle Jam tickets are on sale now for $15 in the Activities Office. 11-20

Check out the display across from the entrance to the "Blue Devil Cafe" about the final opting out of finals. Be in class, passing all your classes, and getting good grades. 11-28

Hey all you Centralites! Key Club is holding a movie showing next Tuesday, November 20th after school in the auditorium. We will be watching a documentary about an organization called Invisible Children, which provides educational and economic development opportunities to residents of Northern Uganda. This area has been ravaged by religious and cultural wars, and they need the support of our school! This event is free, but donations will be accepted. If you have any questions, see any Key Club officer or Mrs. Marshall. Remember, next Tuesday, after school, in the auditorium. We hope to see many students and teachers there! 11-20

There will be a Mock Trial organizational meeting on Monday, November 19th at either 7:15 a.m. or 2:45p .m. in the library.  If you are interested in participating in Mock Trial this year, please come to a short meeting as we begin to organize our teams.  If you cannot make it to the meeting, please be sure to stop by and see Mrs. Heninger to fill out an application. 11-19
