This is a very special announcement to let all you Central Blue Devils know who you selected as the 2007-2007 Central Idol. The new Central Idol is Lizz Rickert. Thanks to Scott Cunningham, Breanna Morrison, Barbara Graves & Mrs. Marshall for participating. Also, thanks to Tyler Amerine for doing a spectacular job as the emcee and Mr. Classon for running the PA system. Mrs. Hosmer would like to see everyone mentioned today in the LMC. Congratulations to Lizz Rickert! 11-14
Newspaper 5-9 block, if you have not seen Ms Buttleman Malcolm this week do so immediately after school, especially if you are leaving for all state. All stories must be in by the weekend. Also students need to pick up their group national certificate for string books. Remember you must check in to receive weekly points. 11-14
Shades of Success/Boys to Men will meet as always today in room 419 at 1:40pm. Ms. Teague is missing some of you. How about showing up to the meeting today? This is our last meeting until after Thanksgiving. Hope to see you there! 11-14
Hispanic Culture Club will meet every Thursday at 2:30 in room 419. The club is open to all students. 11-14
We will have a representative from the Marines in the cafeteria today during all lunches. 11-14
Attention all Marching Band Members: The rehearsal for the Festival of Trees Parade is today from 1:45 to 3:15 here at Central. The parade is this Saturday morning. This rehearsal and performance are mandatory. 11-14
Attention all seniors: Just a reminder that all signature slips for the 07-08 yearbook need to be returned to the main office by today. If you have not received a slip, you need to pick one up in the main office. All slips need to be returned at the very latest, this Wednesday after school. 11-14
Our next book club book is Girl With A Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevallier. This novel tells the story of Holland in the 1600's through the eyes of a sixteen year old girl and was inspired by one of Vermeer's most celebrated paintings. If you would like a copy of the book, come by room 501. Our discussion will be held on Monday, December 10th after school so you have about a month to read the book. Central, let's get reading! 11-14
Don’t forget to get your tickets for Jingle Jam! We have a limited amount of tickets, and you wouldn’t want to miss out. Jingle Jam will be held on Wednesday, November 21st from 8:00 p.m. to 11:30p.m.at the River Center in Davenport. Besides having a fantastic time dancing, your ticket purchase enters you in a raffle for some great prizes. Jingle Jam tickets are on sale now for $15 in the Activities Office. 11-14
Attention Bowling Team - Both the Men's and Women's Bowling Team will have practice this Friday at Miller Time Bowl beginning at 3:15 pm. Remember to bring your physicals and signed participation forms. 11-14
