Announcements for 11-08-07We will have representatives from DePauw University at 1:30 pm in the guidance office today. Stop and get a pass if interested in visiting with them. 11-8 "All outdoor education students need to pick up their bikes by next Tues. See Coach Petersen in the gym to get them." Thanks. 11-9 Attention all bowlers: The Men’s and Women’s bowling teams will be having practice at Miller Time Bowl on Monday the 12th and Friday the 16th next week, starting at 3:15 pm. These are mandatory if you intend to be competing in our first meet. 11-9 Don’t forget to get your tickets for Jingle Jam! We have a limited amount of tickets, and you wouldn’t want to miss out. Jingle Jam will be held on Wednesday, November 21st from 8:00 p.m. to 11:30p.m.at the River Center in Davenport. Besides having a fantastic time dancing, your ticket purchase enters you in a raffle for some great prizes. Jingle Jam tickets are on sale now for $15 in the Activities Office. 11-14 Are you interested in taking an AP online course next semester? Are you a self-motivated student? There are 3 one-semester courses offered next semester through the Belin-Blank Center at the University of Iowa. If you are interested in finding out more about AP online courses, come see Mrs. Heninger in room 501. Registration needs to be completed by December 1st. 11-8 National History Day participants will be meeting on Thursday, November 8th after school in room 501. If you are interested in pursuing topics for National History Day, please come to the meeting. If you cannot attend, come see Mr. Flaherty or Mrs. Heninger. 11-8 The GSA will be holding its first discussion on Thursday November 8th in Kemper 12 at 2:45 PM. The discussion will address general questions and concerns in the GLBT community. All students and staff are encouraged to attend. If there are questions, please see Ms. Cox or Koree Allinger. 11-8 Attention all winter cheerleaders. There will be a mandatory meeting on Monday November 12th at 3:00PM in the Cafeteria. Immediately following the meeting, we will have our first practice. Come prepared to participate. If you are not able to attend, you must see Mrs. Buechel by Friday. 11-12 If you were impressed by the spectacular band half-time show at home football games, then you saw the amazing talent of the color guard performing alongside the musicians. If you wondered how you could get involved with such a wonderful group, here is your opportunity. Winter Guard is finally starting. This non-competitive team will perform half-time routines at basketball games throughout the season. If you are interested, you must attend the informational meeting which will be held Thursday November 8th after school in Kemper Hall room 26. If you are unable to make the meeting, or have any questions, please contact Ms Poskin for details. See you there! 11-8 Softball Open Gym is starting this Sunday, November 11, at Sudlow Intermediate from 2:00 to 4:00. Any girl who would like to work on her softball skills is welcome to attend. 11-9 Attention all Fall Sports Athletes: The Fall Sports Athletic Banquet will be held Monday night, November 12, 2007 at 6:00pm in the auditorium.
