Announcements for 11-07-07God spell cast and crew, please search high and low for any God spell scripts that may be lying around. We still have five scripts to be turned in. Return them to Mrs. McMahon in room 411. 11-7 Softball Open Gym is starting this Sunday, November 11, at Sudlow Intermediate from 2:00 to 4:00. Any girl who would like to work on her softball skills is welcome to attend. 11-9 Attention all Fall Sports Athletes: The Fall Sports Athletic Banquet will be held Monday night, November 12, 2007 at 6:00pm in the auditorium. Don’t forget Fall Sports Banquet will be held; Monday, November 12, 2007 in the auditorium. See you there! 11-12 We will have representatives from Upper Iowa University at 9:00 am in the guidance office today. Stop and get a pass if interested in visiting with them. We will have a representative from the Iowa National Guard in the cafeteria today during all lunches. 11-7 If you were impressed by the spectacular band half-time show at home football games, then you saw the amazing talent of the color guard performing alongside the musicians. If you wondered how you could get involved with such a wonderful group, here is your opportunity. Winter Guard is finally starting. This non-competitive team will perform half-time routines at basketball games throughout the season. If you are interested, you must attend the informational meeting which will be held Thursday November 8th after school in Kemper Hall room 26. If you are unable to make the meeting, or have any questions, please contact Ms Poskin for details. See you there! 11-8 The boys’ soccer open gym will begin this Sunday November 11th at 1:00 to 3:00. The open gym will be held every Sunday at this time. All boys interested in playing soccer this spring are encouraged to participate in the open gym. 11-7 Shades of Success/Boys to Men meet today in room 419 at 1:40pm. All members are to be in attendance and on time. We have a very special guest. 11-7 Attention all winter cheerleaders. There will be a mandatory meeting on Monday November 12th at 3:00PM in the Cafeteria. Immediately following the meeting, we will have our first practice. Come prepared to participate. If you are not able to attend, you must see Mrs. Buechel by Friday. 11-12 Were you one of the lucky ones to randomly receive a survey with your report card? If you were, please have your parents fill it out and return it to Mr. Classon in room 419 by Friday. The results may help Central students achieve possible privileges in the future. 11-7 Liz Rickert, Sean Cunningham, Breanna Morrison & Breanna Levi, need to see Mrs. Hosmer. Again that is Liz Rickert, Sean Cunningham, Breanna Morrison & Breanna Levi. 11-7 Are you interested in taking an AP online course next semester? Are you a self-motivated student? There are 3 one-semester courses offered next semester through the Belin-Blank Center at the University of Iowa. If you are interested in finding out more about AP online courses, come see Mrs. Heninger in room 501. Registration needs to be completed by December 1st. 11-8 National History Day participants will be meeting on Thursday, November 8th after school in room 501. If you are interested in pursuing topics for National History Day, please come to the meeting. If you cannot attend, come see Mr. Flaherty or Mrs. Heninger. 11-8 The GSA will be holding its first discussion on Thursday November 8th in Kemper 12 at 2:45 PM. The discussion will address general questions and concerns in the GLBT community. All students and staff are encouraged to attend. If there are questions, please see Ms. Cox or Koree Allinger. 11-8 Attention staff and students, there are still several God spell t-shirts available for $16 a piece.
