Announcements for 11-01-07We will have representatives from Augustana College at 10:00 am today in the guidance office. Stop and get a pass if interested in visiting with them. 11-1 We will have a representative from the Army in the cafeteria today during all lunches. 11-1 Attention God spell cast and crew: Please park in the Palmer parking lot across from the 12th St. parking lot to allow our audience convenient parking. Call time tonight is 6pm. By 6 you must be out of the house and wings. Break a leg! 11-1 Students going to national competition in Philadelphia, there is a mandatory student and parent meeting Tuesday at 7 p.m. Practice tutoring will be offered noon -4 for those speaking or wanting help with competition work. 11-6 Congratulations to the Blue Devil Football teams for their victories last week over West High. Freshmen, Sophomore and Varsity Football all earned victories to end the season. Special congratulations to the Sophomores for their 5-4 season record. All players are reminded of the Fall Awards night on November 12 and the off-season meeting on November 19. 11-1 All students traveling to the Chicago S.O.F.A. trip tomorrow please stop into room 314 for a short final meeting. 11-1 Attention Students: Student council will be having a silent auction today from 5:30pm to 8:00pm at Central on the 4th floor. Stop by to view the variety of items and bid on your favorite ones during the intermission of the musical God spell. SEE YOU THEN. 11-2 Attention Bowlers - the Davenport Bowling Team will be bowling at Miller Time Bowl this Friday at 3:30 pm. Anyone wishing to participate on this year’s team is encouraged to come. The CHS Drama Department needs your support! Come and have a great time this Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night at 7pm. Student tickets are $5 and adult tickets are $10 at the door. Thursday evening is $5.00 Thursday, and all guests will only pay $5.00 at the door!!! Come support the CHS Drama Department! 11-2 The Freshman Scholastic Bowl team is practicing tomorrow, Friday, November 2nd at 7:00 a.m. This practice is for only freshman. 11-1 Attention all students- there will be no open gym on Tuesday and Thursday morning’s starting next week. No students are allowed in the gym area on TUE or Thurs mornings. This includes the big gym, small gym, and gym foyer. 11-2 All JROTC Cadets- the first drill team meeting is Friday after school in room 254. The first practice is scheduled for Tue morning at 6:30am in the big gym. Please be on time. 11-2 German Club members, please meet in Mr. K's room Tuesday, November 6th after school. We will elect club officers and get information on our next club activity, a field trip to the German heritage Center. The pledge states: I will never bring a gun to school, I will never use a gun to settle a dispute, and I will use my influence with my friends to keep them from using guns to settle disputes. Talk to security during lunch to sign your own personal pledge. 11-1 It is not too late to join National History Day. We are having a very short meeting this Thursday, November 1st at 2:45p.m. in room 501. We need to start forming our groups and picking topics. Please let Mr. Flaherty or Ms. Heninger know if you cannot come. 11-1
