Announcements for 10-31-07Attention Students: Don’t forget to sign the “I Pledge” in the cafeteria today and tomorrow. The pledge states: I will never bring a gun to school, I will never use a gun to settle a dispute, and I will use my influence with my friends to keep them from using guns to settle disputes. Talk to security during lunch to sign your own personal pledge. 11-11 Spanish Club members are invited to come to our Day of the Dead celebration Tomorrow, Nov. 1. We will be having a fiesta in room 331 from 5:30-7:00. RSVP to Senora Trimble. Bring a snack or a drink to share. Come and meet other members, practice your Spanish conversation skills, have fun! Hope to see you there! 10-31 It is not too late to join National History Day. We are having a very short meeting this Thursday, November 1st at 2:45p.m. in room 501. We need to start forming our groups and picking topics. Please let Mr. Flaherty or Ms. Heninger know if you cannot come. 11-1 Shades of Success/Boys to men will meet today in room 419 at 1:40, immediately after the bell rings. Hispanic students will meet in room 411 with Juan Cantu today at 1:40. All Hispanic students interested in learning more about their heritage and culture, socializing in a positive environment, and doing positive things to promote Central are welcome to attend this meeting. 10-31 Open gym for Girls Track & Field will be today at 2:30. 10-31 Could Austin Laugen and Stephen Quist stop by and see Mrs. Heninger for five minutes after school today? 10-31 "All girls’ soccer players participating in indoor the schedule is ready. The 16 year old team plays at 6:30p.m. November 1st at the bubble. The 18 year old team plays at 9:30p.m. November 1st at the bubble. Stop and get a pass if interested in visiting with them. 10-31 Mr & Mrs. Blue Devil is coming up next week on Tuesday, November 6. All of you Blue Devils that would like to participate need to turn in you forms to the LMC by Friday. 10-31 Have you always loved pudding? Do you have a natural talent for eating fast? Do you have a bottomless pit for a stomach? Do you think you think you have what it takes to be a part of the first ever CHS Pudding Eating Contest Championship Team? On November 6, Student Council will be hosting the first ever CHS Pudding Eating Contest in the gym supporting the Student Food Drive. Sign up for the Pudding Eating Contest outside of the LMC with five of your friends. Cost is $3 per person or $18 per team. Sign up by Friday November 2nd to ensure your place in the competition. If you don’t like pudding but still want to support the Food Drive, bring $1 to your 4th block class November 6th to watch the contest at 1:00. 10-31 To all guy swimmers if you are going out for swimming make sure you have signed up with Mr. Hatfield in room 155. Practice starts Monday and we are having pre-season practice at 5:30-7AM this week. Make sure you have your physicals and paper work done before Monday. Water polo after school Thursday and Friday. 10-31 Alright you sports minded people here is the Question. What do Jon Kittna, Deion Sanders, Tony Dungy and Michael Redd all have in common?
