Announcements for 10-22-09French Conversation Group meets this evening. Please see Mlle Weir in room 339 after school for directions! If you are a junior or senior who received an invitation to the guest speaker and pizza TAG event this Sunday afternoon at Bettendorf High School, please see Mrs. Heninger. I need to know whether you can attend. The National History Day meeting is on Thursday, October 22 right after school in room 515. Please remember to bring your topic ideas to the meeting. If you cannot come, but are interested in participating, see Mr. Flaherty, Ms. Norris, or Ms. Heninger. Bonjour French Club ! Remember that our Halloween party is October 27th right after school in room 339. Prizes go to the best costume! Sign up for treats to bring. See Mademoiselle Weir for details. There will be an open gym Tues Oct 27th from 6-7:30pm for Frosh and soph boys planning on going out for basketball this year. Attention all outdoor education students. T-shirt sign ups are now available so come to room 501 today to pick up your order form and get a sneak peak of the t-shirt. So go sign up for your $10 Environmental Club t-shirt today! You've heard of American Idol- you know, the show with Simon, Paula (now Ellen) and ... the other one. Well, we've got our own Blue Devil version. That's right, we've got Central Idol. Get your dollars ready for next Wednesday's Central Idol aud. during 4th block. You'll have the chance to vote for the next Central Idol. Will it be Mackenzie, Whitney, Vanessa, Brianna or Becca? Make sure you're bringing in your spare change to your first block classes! Next Friday is the day when your teachers must "Tally" before they "Teach". Everybody wins- you get some down time, Central gets more money to put towards the Food Drive, and the Hungry get fed! Ok, we know the song told you all to put your cans UP, but what we really want is for you to bring them in to your 3rd block class. STUCO will come around to collect food next Friday. Remember: no glass or produce. Whatever class has the most food donated wins a prize. Maybe it'll be yours! Spanish Club will meet this coming Monday after school in room 331. We will have an informal conversation group- all levels of Spanish are welcome. Bring a friend! We will have a representative from Davenport Academy Paul Mitchell Partner School at 9:00 am, tomorrow, Friday, October 23rd in the guidance office conference room. Stop and get a pass if interested in visiting with them. Attention Central Students: There are still openings in the November 2nd Driver Education class at Central High School. Registration forms can be picked up in the guidance office.
