Here’s an important laundry lesson from the DC Football Moms. Never wash your red Brady Street Bunch t-shirt with your favorite white shirt. You can put this lesson to the test, if you own a Brady Street Bunch t-shirt. There’s not one in your closet? Better stop by the DC Football Moms table at Thursday night’s football game. It’s time to support the team and… start doing your own laundry. 10-16

Attention all students who love to sing gospel!! Gospel choir will be meeting in the music room, Room 251, after school, 3:40-3:10, this Thursday, Oct. 18th. We will not have rehearsal on Thursday, week of finals. 10-18

Upward Bound St. Ambrose will meet Tuesday October 16th. right after school in Room 609. See ya there! 10-16

Do you like history?  Do you like to work with your friends on challenging and stimulating topics?  Are you interested in making historical documentaries and films?  How about writing a play about a specific event in history and then acting in it?  Do you want to win awards and get the chance to compete in Washington DC?   If so, you should consider participating in National History Day competition.  Our first meeting will take place on Thursday, October 18th right after school in room 501.  Mr. Flaherty and Mrs. Heninger are the club sponsors and want to encourage everyone to come and find out about National History Day. At the meeting, we will be discussing the theme for this year, as well as planning several field trips to University libraries for research.  We hope to see you this Thursday afternoon. 10-18

Last Thursday the boys cross country team competed at the MAC meet. Finishing 19th was Robbie Pogue and finishing 25th was Chris Capper at the varsity level and at the fresh-soph Mark Reiter finished 19th, Fabian Breismoore was 21st, and Jonathon O'Leary finished 23rd. The team will run in the district this Thursday at Crow Creek in Bettendorf. 10-16

Congratulations to the Freshman Volleyball team on a winning season. The team performed well at the end of season tournament last Saturday at West High School including an exciting victory over Muscatine in what would be their last match. They went 2-1 in pool play and just missed advancing to bracket play on a tie-breaker. The team represented Central very well this season and should be proud of their accomplishments. Great job ladies! 10-16

Shades of Success/ Boys to Men will meet this Wednesday at 1:40pm in room 419. All are welcome. Ms. Teague will miss you if you are not there. 10-16

If you have not returned your book club book yet, you need to do this by Wednesday or you will incur a fine.  Bring the book to Mrs. Heninger's room. 10-16

Lady Cross Country Runners, Coach Peiffer still needs your uniforms. Please bring them to Brady Street Stadium @ 4PM. Also there is still going to be a speaker about some sweats for purchase. 10-16

Are you a freshman or sophomore? Are you interested in going to school beyond high school? Not sure how to do that? The University of Iowa Upward Bound program may be able to help. This program helps students who want to receive education or training at ANY school beyond high school. Interested? Come to an information meeting on Thursday, October 18 at 2:40 in room 401. 10-18

Do you want to be the next 'Central Idol'? Come show off your singing skills TODAY, October 16th at 2:45 in the auditorium!! Prepare a 1 minute, school appropriate song to sing. All students are welcome to audition! Finalists will be chosen to perform at an all school aud where you the students will chose the next 'Central Idol'! Don't be shy to audition! In case you’re not sure what 'Central Idol' is, it's the CHS version of 'American Idol'. If you are unable to attend today's auditions, please see Mrs. Hosmer in the library to schedule another audition time. So don't forget; TODAY at 2:45 in the auditorium! Be there; you could be the next 'Central Idol'!!

Attention full cast of Godspell, we have practice tonight from 6-8.
