The Sophomore Scholastic Bowl team is practicing Tuesday morning at 7:00 a.m. in room 501. Any interested sophomore can attend. 9-29

Check out Indigo Ink, where you can express your thoughts, beliefs, dreams, and opinions through artwork and creative writing. Information about this literary and arts magazine can be found in room 501, or with your English and Art teachers. Come on Blue Devils, show us your Indigo Spirit! 10-1
Congratulations to the boys cross country team for a fine performance at the Rock Island invite. Despite a challenging and difficult course the team turned in some great times. Leading the varsity were Robbie Pogue, Chris Capper and Jake Kersten. At the soph/fresh division it was Scott McKillip, Mark Reiter, and Dominick Shults. Keep up the hard work and good luck this Thursday defending your City Championship. 9-29
Newspaper students in 6th block- don't forget to check in before 3 Monday or Tuesday- all stories are due Friday. Students interested in submitting writing, art or photography to Blackhawk Bricolage please get work to Kemper 12 or 14 by Oct.1. 9-30
We will have a representative from Wartburg College at 10:00 am, and University of Iowa at 1:00 pm in the guidance office conference room today. We will also have a representative from Luther College at 9:00 am in the guidance office conference room tomorrow, Tuesday, September 30. Stop and get a pass if interested in visiting with either of them. 9-29
Student ID’s and retake pictures are in, please stop by the Activities Office during passing time or after school to pick them up. 10-1
Only 6 Days until Homecoming!!! Come with your friends or with a date to our “Welcome to the Jungle” Homecoming Dance, Saturday October 4th from 8-11pm in George Marshall Gym. Tickets are on sale now for $10.00 a piece in the Activities Office. If you are bringing a date from a different school you must purchase tickets ahead of time and have a permission slip signed by the school the date is currently attending stating the student is in good standing at the school. You can pick up permission slips in the Activities Office, as well. We encourage all students to attend this dance. See the Central High School website for more information on the dance. 9-29
