Homecoming shirts will be in on Friday. You can stop by room 331 to pick yours up OR we will be distributing them during lunch on Monday.
Spanish Club has made plans for their Homecoming float. We will meet this Wed. at 4:30 at the home of Emerald and Sunny Klauer to start making it. See Mrs. Trimble for details. Hope you can make it- bring a friend!
Attention Seniors: Tomorrow is your last chance to get your picture taken for the senior section of the yearbook. Carlson Creative Images will be in the Barb Hess Community room to take your picture from 7:45-100. We will be calling you down or your teachers will be sending you to have your picture taken. Please dress appropriately. This is your last chance – if you do not have your picture taken tomorrow you will NOT be in the yearbook. If you are unsure if you still need to have it taken a list will be posted on the main office windows of those seniors who still need their picture taken. The headshots are free. See Mrs. Jasper in Kemper room 12 if you have questions.
Last night the freshmen volleyball team lost to a tough Bettendorf squad. The freshmen had opportunities but could not quite get past Bettendorf. Tonight we face a tough Pleasant Valley team at 4:30 at Central. We hope you can be there to support the team.
Last night the JV volleyball team had a tournament in Iowa City. There were some tough matches played. The girls placed 4th overall.
Tonight is a big game against not so Pleasant Valley in the George Marshall Gym. Come out and support your undefeated Lady-D volleyball team!
Are you interested in Bowling? Central High Bowling League sign up will be Thursday October 2nd in the Cafeteria right after school.
Congratulations to the boys cross country team for their outstanding performances at the Rock Island meet last Saturday at Credit Island. Leading the way for the varsity were, Alex Trujillo, Jimmy Hean, Ryan Baumer, Mark Reiter and Mitch Moreno, A big oh yeah goes out to the Fresh/Soph team for winning the meet and bringing home the hardware. Leading the way for the Fresh/Soph were 2nd place Dominick Shults, 4th place Alex Pogue, 5th place Scott McKillip, 6th place Tim Chapman and 19th place was Marcus Moreno. Next up is the City Meet this Thursday out at North High School. Good luck gentlemen.

Attention students on the free and reduced lunch program. If you have not turned in a new application or if you are not sure, please stop by and check with a cashier. If you have not turned one in, starting Thursday October 1st, your status will change to paid.
Attention all Homecoming Powder Puff football coaches. There is a mandatory meeting this Wednesday after school in George Marshall gym. Each team must have a coach at the meeting or you will not be allowed to play.
Seniors you can still buy your 2010 senior class t-shirt from Mrs. Hansen in the gym. The shirts are $10.
Attention Students! This is the final call for Recruitment Opt-Out Forms. If you do not want your name released to the Military and/or colleges, please see Mrs. Pacha in the Guidance Office.
Newspaper students- today is mandatory check in after school. All stories are due at that time for issue 3. It is also time to reserve your space for the state convention and on the spot competitions. Bring your $30 and permission slip to K14.
