  • Attention Band Students: This Saturday’s rehearsal time has been changed from 12pm to 4pm. Please see Mr. Hatcher for an updated itinerary. 9-24
  • Attention Students! The Mini-Olympics are fast approaching. Please turn in your teams, permission forms, and money by Wednesday September 24. Turn these into Mrs. Hosmer, Allie Corbin, Beth Clewell, or Hannah McAtee. Remember, the Mini-Olympics are this Sunday, September 28 at 4pm. See you there! 9-24
  • Attention Students: If you do not want your directory information released to the Military and colleges, or be pulled from classes to attend recruitment meetings please see Anne in the Guidance Office to pick up a “Student Recruitment Opt-Out Form. 9-24
  • Congrats to the freshman football team for their 28-26 victory over West last night. It was a great team effort led by two touchdown passes from Jeremy Smith to Ryan Cartee. Great job guys. 9-24
  • The Freshman Scholastic Bowl team is practicing tomorrow (Thursday) at 7:00 a.m. in room 501.  Even if you did not make it to our first meeting, you are certainly welcome to try this fast paced academic game.  See you Thursday morning. 9-24
  • The Blue Devil Girls Swim Team fell short to Muscatine Mustangs last night. Some of the Varsity swims for the Blue Devils were the 200 Medley Relay of Ellie Wilder, Kathleen Gaertnier, Katie Beale, and Mary Betsworth took first place. Mary Betsworth took first place in the 200 IM and 500 Free. Katie Beale won the 100 Fly. Ellie Wilder won the 100 Back and Liz Fritz took first in the 100 Breast stroke. For JV, Petra Hahn took first place in the 200 Free. Racheal Herman won the 50 and 100 Free.  Meghan Ryan, Petra Hahn, Emily Fritz, and DeAnna Marguglio won the 200 Free Relay. Tori Quist took 2nd place in diving. Way to go swimmers! 9-24
  • If you are interested in participating in the first annual Battle of the Books competition for high schools in the state of Iowa, please come to a meeting on Thursday after school in room 501.  If you have already committed to the team with Mrs. Heninger, please do not forget to come to this brief, but important, meeting. 9-25
  • Shades of Success/Boys to Men meet today and every Wednesday at 1:40pm in room 419. You are invited to attend and bring your best friends. There is always room for more! We welcome everyone to come and join us. We are a multiracial leadership club and we want you. See you at 1:40 in room 419! 9-24
  • Honk Honk Beep Beep! Get your friends or team together and sign up for the Homecoming parade. It is on October 2nd at 6 pm. Sign up forms are located outside the main office. Return them to the library by Friday. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to show off your creativity! 9-25
  • Attention all past, present, and future Spanish students - check out Spanish Club every Friday after school in room 331. We are in the process of ordering our club t-shirts, which are $8. Also, we are holding a Spanish movie night soon to watch "Casi Casi", a Puerto Rican movie about a troublemaker who runs against his crush for Student Council president! If you have questions, see Senora Trimble in room 331. See you Friday, amigos! 9/26
  • The Spirit Program luncheon meeting will be held on Friday during lunch periods in the Barb Hess Community room. Members are to come during their own lunch period. Students will not miss any class time. See Ms. Schrader or Ms. Teague if you have questions. 9-26
  • Attention Seniors: Baby Ads, Baby ads, Baby Ads ------don’t forget to get those baby ads turned in to the activities office. Remind your parents—the date is fast approaching! 9-26
  • From the dean’s office: Listen up! Students who do not serve detentions and Saturday School will not be allowed to attend school dances, including Home Coming Dance. See those teachers and deans to get these taken care of. The list of names is now in the activities office and new names will be added daily. You will not be able to purchase a ticket until your detentions and Saturday School responsibilities have taken care of. See Ms. Teague & Mr. Hawley and your teachers if you have questions.
