Announcements for 09-21-07

Attention all student currently receiving your meals for free or at reduced cost. Every school year, a new free and reduced priced meal application needs to be submitted to the Davenport Schools. If you have not personally turned in the application to the cashiers in the cafeteria you need to make sure this happens no later then Friday, September 21st. If you have been so over loaded with homework and cannot remember if you have turned one in check with the cashiers and they will gladly let you know if you need to submit a new one. It is your responsibility to follow through with confirming you have a currant application on file otherwise, on Monday September 24th, you will not be able to receive a free meal at school. You will have to brown bag it or pay.

You wanna be the co-ed volleyball champs! Today is the last day to turn your forms and money into the library. The big day is this Sunday at Brady Street Stadium at 5:00. There can be up to eight players per team and it is $3 per person. You know you don’t wanna miss all this excitement so hurry and sign up now! 9/21

Any student who does not have a student ID must come to the library on Tuesday, September 25th sometime before or after school, or during the day to get their ID taken by Mrs. Hosmer. If you are planning on attending homecoming, you must have a student ID to enter the dance. 9/25

The news lab in Kemper will be open from 9a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday. The Fall Sports Edition must be complete at that time as editing is Sunday from noon-5. All page layouts for Issue 2 and Lift Every Voice must be complete on Sunday. Check in today after school or notify Nick DeLa Cruz, Jessi VandenBerg, or Deena DeLeon where all your materials are. Also leave a hard copy in your mailbox in Kemper-- No exceptions. Questions see Ms Buttleman. 9/21

All members of the boys cross country team need to see Coach Tandy today. 9/21

Band, choir, and orchestra students- remember to keep selling those entertainment books. 20 dollars gets you or your friends a book full of great deals in the Quad City area. If you have sales or any questions, please see your music teachers. 9/21

The environmental club is having its first project of the school year. If you are interested in hearing about the Lexus Environmental Challenge, a contest which challenges high school students to make a positive environmental difference in their school or community, please meet in room 501 after school on Friday. 9/21

Sign up to make a float in this year’s homecoming Parade!!!! Grab a sign up sheet outside of room 333 or by the main street doors. Turn in your filled out sheets to the library with the 10 dollar entry fee. The more floats the more fun!! 9/24

Those of you who have not turned in their money for the Homecoming t-shirts need to turn your ten dollars in as soon as possible. You will not receive your shirt until your money is turned in. Please turn it into the library or to any student council member. Thank you! 9/21

You can pick up your school re-take ID's today at all lunches. 9/21  

Sign up today for 3 on 3 intramural basketball. Games will be played next Wed. and Fri. at 7 in the morning. Turn your teams into Mr. Swetalla or Mrs. Hansen in the gym. 9/21
