Announcements for 09-18-08

  • Attention Spanish students (past or present), who are interested in traveling to Mexico and Costa Rica in June 2009. There will be a meeting immediately after school on Thursday, Sept. 18th in Room 333. Students who enrolled last Spring DO NOT need to attend. See Señora Preciado or Señora Trimble if you have questions. ¡Gracias! 9-18
  • Congratulations to the boy’s golf team for winning the City Golf tournament yesterday. This brings the total to 5 straight tournaments the boys have won and a 6th place state ranking. Ryan Wilson placed 2nd in the tournament with a score of 78 while Ryan Schlueter placed 3rd with a score of 79. Congratulations!!! Go Blue 9-18
  • On Tuesday the Lady D Cross Country Runners were at the Lancer Invite. Among the nights top finishers were Rebecca Wilder with a stunning 3rd place finish followed closely by Nikki Miller in 7th place. On the Fresh/Soph side your top Lady Devil finisher was Katie Walton with a 16th place over all finish, she was followed closely by Melissa Rink and Maura Warner. The JV side was lead by Chelsea Rink followed closely by Kelsey Tope and Allison Vandecar. Great Job Ladies. 9-18
  • At the swim meet Tuesday vs PV, Tori Quist got second for diving. Good Job Tori! 9-18
  • From the dean’s office: Listen up! Students who do not serve detentions and Saturday School will not be allowed to attend school dances, including Home Coming Dance. See those teachers and deans to get these taken care of. The list of names is now in the activities office and new names will be added daily. You will not be able to purchase a ticket until your detentions and Saturday School responsibilities have taken care of. See Ms. Teague & Mr. Hawley and your teachers if you have questions. 9-19
  • Attention all past, present, and future Spanish students - check out Spanish Club every Friday after school in room 331. We are currently planning a Spanish movie night, and our club t-shirts, which will be $8. If you have questions, see Senora Trimble in room 331. See you Friday, amigos! 9/19
  • All Newspaper students including those taking 5th-8th block- Your updated string book is due by noon Friday. This is 50% of your midterm grade so get it in. Make sure you include midterm evaluation and work assigned for issue 2 (printed from network) as paper must be complete this weekend. Editors expect to work Sunday. 9-19
  • All publication students who plan to attend state or nationals should see Ms Buttleman Malcolm for 1 minute of lunch this week to confirm spellings- contest and room assignments. All placements will be final 4th block Friday. 9-19
