Announcements for 09-16-09
Attention all students, A term mid-term grades are figured this Friday. Please make sure you are checking with your teachers to make sure you have all of your assignments completed and you are working hard for success in the classes you are taking this term. Parent-teacher conferences are next Wednesday, September 23rd in the cafe from 3:30-6:30pm. 9/16/09
Attention all in-season athletes. All grade cards are due back to coaches TODAY. 9/16/09
The Girls Swimming team had a nail biter last night again Pleasant Valley. Pleasant Valley did pull off the win for both Junior Varsity and Varsity. However, all the girls had great performances.
Junior Varsity winners were: 200 Medley Team of Emily Fritz, Liz Fritz, Kelsey Stanger and Ashton Dooley. Meghan Ryan won the 200 Freestyle, Rachael Herman won the 200 IM, Kelsey Stanger won the 50 Free by .01, Liz Fritz got second in the 100 Butterfly, Jesse Glasgow pulled off a close finish in the 100 Free, Emily Fritz won the 500 free, and Ashton Dooley won the 100 Breast.
For Varsity: Erin Abbas, Emmia Shie, Katie Beale, and Mary Betsworth won the 200 Medley Relay. Emma Shie won the 200 IM, Katie Beal won the 100 Fly, and Emma Shie won the 100 Breast with a new pool record.
Way to go ladies! Keep up the hard work. Diver Tori Quest and Jesse Mumm went second and third in diving. 9/16/09
Congratulations to the boys cross country team for their outstanding performances at the Lancer Invite held at Scott County Park Last night. The varsity finished fifth and were lead by Alex Trujillo, Jimmy Hean, Mark Reiter, Sebastian Pena and Ryan Baumer. The Fresh/Soph WON the meet with great runs by Dominick Shults, Scott McKillip, Tim Chapman, Alex Pogue, and Marcus Moreno. Keep up the great work gentlemen. Also, a reminder to get your grade cards in to coach as soon as possible and that practice today is at Credit Island. 9/16/09
Congratulations to your still conference UNDEFEATED girls Volleyball Team! It wan an exciting win against North Scott, with it going all 5 games! Come out and cheer the team on, Thursday September 17 against Assumption in your Geroge Marshall Gym! Freshmen at 4:30, Sophomore and JV at 5:45 and Varsity at 7:00. Way to go Lady-D's!! 9/16/09
Last night the freshman volleyball team lost to a strong North Scott team in two straight games 25/12 and 25/16. Although Central improved, we were never able to put pressure on the accomplished North Scott team. Central will have one more opportunity to face North Scott in the North Scott Invitational Tournament next month. Tomorrow Central will face Assumption at 4:30 at home in the George Edward Marshal Gymnasium and Sporting Complex. Hope you can join us to help support the team. 9/16/09

Hey Blue Devils! I-JAG will be selling t-shirts for each grade and staff. A final decision for the design has not been made and we would like your input on our designs. Please stop in to room 640 to see our designs, so that we can have the best choices printed.

Environmental Club wants to remind you:

The blue, larger, labeled classroom bins are for cans and bottles only

Place paper into the smaller blue bins.

Empty cans before placing them in the bins.

Place can tabs in the Ronald McDonald boxes located around the school.

Leave caps on bottles, unless the bottle is empty.

Do not remove bottle labels.

Please do not put trash inside the cans or bottles.
