Seniors, seniors, seniors! Reminder that this Thursday you will be called to the auditorium during 2nd block to vote for Homecoming Candidates. You must be in attendance in order to vote for homecoming court. See Mrs. Trimble if you have questions. 9/16/09
Attention all students, A term mid-term grades are figured this Friday. Please make sure you are checking with your teachers to make sure you have all of your assignments completed and you are working hard for success in the classes you are taking this term. Parent-teacher conferences are next Wednesday, September 23rd in the cafe from 3:30-6:30pm. 9/16/09
Attention all in-season athletes. If you did not receive a new blank grade card from your coach you will get one today. All grade cards are due back to coaches Wednesday.
Be aware: ANY MISSING INFORMATION (i.e. not legible, blank class grades, or missing cards) WILL REQUIRE ATTENDANCE AT STUDY TABLE on Wednesday September 23rd and Wednesday, September 30th. BE SURE THAT COACHES HAVE your legibly COMPLETED grade card! All teachers all blocks need to be filled out.

The Varsity Boy's Golf Team placed 2nd out of four teams last night defeating Clinton and North Scott.
Mike Maller was team medalist and tied as meet medalist with 35. 9/15/09

Central High iJAG Career Association has elected its officers! Our new officers are: President: Nicholas Ford, Vice President of Leadership Development: Anthony Bates, Vice President of Career Development: Sean Turcsak, Vice President of Service Learning: Shaunticia Liddell, Vice President of Civic/Social Activities: Stacy Oestreich, and Treasurer/Secretary: Josh Gipson. Central’s book club is beginning for the year! Our first book is called Deadline and is written by Chris Crutcher. Deadline is the story of 18 year old Ben Wolf and his terminal diagnosis. The story is about living in the moment and coming face to face with mortality. The book is absorbing, moving, hysterically funny, and offers food for thought and debate. This book is Central’s first book club book for the year. If you are interested in getting a copy of this book, come quickly to room 501. We will discuss the book on Thursday, October 15th after school. Central, let's get reading! 9/15/09
Are you a creative problem solver? Do you like to build things? Can you do improvisational comedy? Do you like to perform? If you do, Destination Imagination may be just for you. We are having a meeting on Tuesday, September 15th at 3:00 p.m. for those interested students. We are trying to see if there is enough interest for Central to field a team in this competition this year. If you have interest in this activity, come to our first meeting on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. in room 501. See you there. 9/15/09

Attention all Blue Devils! On October 9th there will be a Car Rally / parade held by the CHS Student Council to get pumped for the homecoming football game! So run down to room 331 and pick up your entry form. Forms need to be returned to room 331, Mrs. Trimble's room, by October 1st, no later then 2:35. Attention all publications students, it is mandatory that you participate in Constitution Day activities today during lunch- Put your name on the list in Kemper stating which lunch you will be working and what you will be addressing. Talk to your 3rd block teacher to allow for time to eat. Questions see Buttleman, Jasper, Sebastian Pena, Sam Jurgena, or Sam Hayes. 9/15/09

Bring your spare change to lunch today to see the 2009 constitution skits. You will not want to miss the dancing twinkle-stars- Erik Hahn, Blaine Herington, A.J Juarez, McKinley Kuhlmann twinkle the constitution or the techno concepts of freedom of expression. 9/15/09
