Shades of Success/Boys to Men will meet today in room 419 at 1:40pm sharp! Remember to bring your folders. Ms. Teague will miss you if you are not. New students are always welcome. Come and join us. Be there or be sharp. 9/12

The lady blue devils ran an exciting race last night at Scott County Park at the Lancer invitational.

Coming in first on the varsity side for Central was Nicole Miller followed closely by Sarah Peterson. Coming in then was Shay Williams, Becca Briesmoore, Shaley Maher, Kathleen Giorgio,and Teresea Foster.

On the JV Side Ann McKillip came in first for the Blue Devils followed closely by Megan Maller, and Kelsey Howard.

The frosh/soph side saw interesting results as well. Leading the Blue Devils was Allison Vandecar followed closely by Katlyn McCullauogh, Mary VanCamp, Katie Walton, and Kelsey Tope. Good Job Ladies. 9/12

Attention SADD members, there will be a special meeting of SADD tomorrow morning at 7:15 in room 415. 9/12

Attention Godspell Cast members. There will be a rehearsal tonight for the entire cast from 6-8 in the auditorium. This will be a dance rehearsal, so please dress comfortably. If you are unable to attend a practice make sure you see Mrs. McMahon in room 411. 9/12

The Varsity Football team is looking for several people to help with statistics during each game. It's a great view and you get to be down where the action is. See Coach Duvall in Room 527 or Coach Roering in 519 today! 9/12

Congratulations to the boys cross country team for a great performance at the Lancer Invite last night. In the varsity division Robbie Pogue finished fourth, Alex Trujillo fifth, Chris Capper twelfth and the team finished fourth overall. In the junior varsity division Jake Kersten finished sixth, Anthony Willis tenth and Ben Weinstein fifteenth. In the fresh-soph division Sebastian Pena finished sixth, Fabian Breismoore eleventh, and Nate Coonts nineteenth. Great job gentlemen.9/12

Newspaper students: Don't forget that your point sheets are due today and that final stories are due Friday. Money is now being collected for state and regionals. Your name needs to be on the registration list if you plan to attend.9/12

All publication students (especially Quill & Scroll): Please make sure you have cleared approved time from your 3rd block teachers for Constitution Day activities. Please stop in to Kemper to add your name to the list, if you will be attending the Madison program as it must go to the activities office by Thursday after school.9/12

Only two days left: Get your Coexistence contributions to "Lift Every Voice" in Kemper.9/12

The boy’s golf team improved their season record to 44 and 11 with victories over West and Dub. Wahlert last evening. Grant Kilmer was meet medalist with an impressive 1 under par 34. Connor Gillund and Lee Johanson carded a pair of 36’s, and Ryan Schlueter finished out our scoring with a 38 for a team total of 144. Go Blue 9/12

The DC Football Moms will be hosting a free giveaway special at each of the five home football games. The first 250 students through the gate and present their Central ID will receive a prize. This Friday night, students will receive a “Brady Street Bunch” rally towel. Hope to see you there! Go Blue Devils! 9/14

Students, our first home football game is this Friday night against Burlington. There will be a pep aud on the Main Street lawn, Friday at 2:20pm, to get the school rallied up for the big game. 9/14

Are you interested in joining the YMCA, from now until September 21st you can receive the Central High School student and employee membership special. Bring your ID card in and sign up with no joiner fee and receive $25.00 in Y-Bucks to use on other classes or personal training. 9/21

Anyone interested in being in the Chemistry Club the first meeting will be Thursday, September 13th at 2:40pm in Mr. Sheil’s room, 637. 9/12

There will be a mandatory meeting for all Senior Class Officers today at 1:45 in the community room. 9/12

Attention all music students, remember to sell those entertainment books! 2008 books are $20; last year’s books are $5 and are good until November. Please see your band, choir, and orchestra teachers if you have any questions. 9-12

The homecoming parade is just around the corner. School clubs, fall sport teams this is for you. You can make a float and participate in the annual homecoming parade. Pick up your forms in the library. The forms are due by Sept 25, back in the library. 9-14

The Freshmen Scholastic Bowl team will be practicing on Thursday, September 13th at 7:00 a.m. in room 501. Scholastic Bowl is an academic tournament where high school teams compete again each other on a variety of academic questions.   Come see how much fun you can have participating in Scholastic Bowl.  This practice is for freshmen only - come and check it out! 9-12

Hey Blue Devils! Don’t forget to get your teams of 8 together for the co-ed volleyball tournament on the Sunday the 23rd before it’s too late. Sign ups are outside the library and the costs is $3 per person, $24 per team. Sign up NOW. 9-13

Hey freshman!! Want to dance with your friends? Do you want to meet other freshman? Then come to the freshman only dance tonight from 6-8pm in the cafeteria. Wear your freshman T-shirt to get in free. Pizza and pop will be on sale for $1, the disco dancing, however is free!
