Upward Bound St. Ambrose will meet Tuesday September 4 from 2:40-4:40 in Room 609. If you would like to join please make arrangements to make the meeting. 8/31

Pictures that were ordered at registration are now in and are being handed out by Mrs. Hansen during lunch for the rest of the week. Any student who would like a picture re-take or needs to have their picture taken for the year you can have this done next Thursday, September 6th in the IMC. You will be called out of your class to have your picture taken.

Also, Student ID cards will be passed out next week. Staff, if you would like to have your picture taken, please go to the IMC before school on September 6th to have it done. 8/31

Attention all Army JROTC cadets, there is a Raider Team meeting today immediately after school in room 254. Any Cadet interested in being on the Raider team needs to be at this meeting. 8/30

"Stand up for what is right, even if you are standing alone." These are words to live by, but at Central High, you don't have to stand alone. Come make a stand Wednesday morning at 7:15 in room 415 with the other members of SADD. 9/4

Do you play chess, or do you want to learn how? Join Chess Club! It meets Mondays after school in room 509. Come join the fun! 8/31

Hey Blue Devils Donuts and Bagels are back. That's right starting next Tuesday you will be able to purchase a donut for .50 and a bagel for .75. We moved the location of the sales of these delicious treats to the entrance of the west side of the auditorium.  Donuts and Bagels will only be sold before school. So don't forget to buy them. 8/31  

This Friday will be your last chance to purchase a parking pass. Starting next Tuesday if you are parked in the lower lot your car will be towed. So stop by the cafeteria at all lunches to see if you have been approved to get one. You will need cash or a check for $35.00. 8/31  

Staring next Wednesday we will have intramural basketball at 7:00 in the morning in the gym. Intramurals will be Monday-Wednesday and Friday's only. NO FOOD OR DRINKS will be allowed in the gym. 8/31

Reminder to students that you are not allowed to park in the North teacher parking lots. You need a parking permit to park in the South lot. Your cars starting today will be ticketed or towed if they are in these areas without the right pass. 8/31

Due to staff shortage the Oasis will be closed the rest of the week. 8/31

Attention Seniors: Any senior interested in serving as a student representative on the Davenport Community School District School Board please report to the community room on Thursday at 11:00am. There are 2 board meetings per month and you will be required to attend one board meeting bi-monthly. If your interested report to the community room on Thursday at 11:00am. See you there! 8/30

Hey all you athletes, FCA will be starting this Friday morning at 7:00 AM in the Auditorium. Bring a teammate and get Game Ready. 8/30

ATTENTION ALL GIRLS INTERESTED IN PLAYING BASKETBALL. OPEN GYMS ARE NOW BEING HELD, MONDAY/WEDNESDAY NIGHTS 6:15-8:15. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN PLAYING, YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND. 8-30-07

Are you a former or present 9th grade Gifted and Talented student?  If so, you need to attend a short meeting to find out more about TAG this year at Central.  There will be two meetings on Thursday, August 30th.  One will be at 7:15 a.m. and the other will be at 2:40 p.m.  Come to either meeting.  They will both be in room 501.  This meeting is for freshmen only.  Come find out how you can become involved in fun and challenging TAG activities.  See you Thursday. 8/30
