The Blue Devil Football coaches and players would like to congratulate this years team captains- MARK LAZIO and DALLAS BURKE. Come see Mark, Dallas, and rest of the football team in action at the opening game for 2007 this Friday versus city rival North at Brady Street Stadium. The sophomore game begins at 4:45 and the varsity around 7:30. The Freshmen football team is also in action this Saturday at 9:00 am also at Brady Stadium. 8/28

Attention Seniors: Any senior interested in serving as a student representative on the Davenport Community School District School Board please report to the community room on Thursday at 11:00am. There are 2 board meetings per month and you will be required to attend one board meeting bi-monthly. If your interested report to the community room on Thursday at 11:00am. See you there! 8/30

Newspaper students- 4th-5th-6th and "two termers" you need to get your documentation in by 1p.m. Wednesday as per forms. New assignments are on the board - due by September 15.

All publications students, especially Quill & Scroll, bus sign up for conference/competition and Constitution Day sheets are on the board in Kemper.

Hey all you athletes, FCA will be starting this Friday morning at 7:00 AM in the Auditorium. Bring a teammate and get Game Ready. 8/30

Are you a former or present 9th grade Gifted and Talented student? If so, you need to attend a short meeting to find out more about TAG this year at Central. There will be two meetings on Thursday, August 30th. One will be at 7:15 a.m. and the other will be at 2:40 p.m. Come to either meeting. They will both be in room 501. This meeting is for freshmen only. Come find out how you can become involved in fun and challenging TAG activities. See you Thursday. 8/30

On Wednesday, August 29th, Environmental Club is having their first meeting. If you are interested in helping to save the planet by recycling cans and bottles, planting trees and flowers, cleaning up parks and rivers, and more, come to room 501 after school on Wednesday, August 29. New members are welcome! 8/29

There will be a Blue Crew meeting in the library at 7:15 on Wednesday, August 29th. All Blue Crew members will need to attend. 8/28

Attention students if you were not able to pick up yearbooks at registration they will be available Monday August 27th and Tuesday August 28th after school in room 417. Extra yearbooks for those of you who did not get a chance to purchase one last year will also be available on Monday on a first come first served basis for 65.00. Make checks payable to Central Yearbook. 8/28

Attention Yearbook staff: We are rescheduling our scavenger hunt to Wednesday, Aug. 29th right after the early out. Meet in room 417 ready to win. We will socialize after the hunt and see who the big winners are! Make arrangements to be there and see Mrs. Jasper if you have any questions. 8/29 >P>Also don’t forget Monday and Tuesday’s (Aug. 27- 28) yearbook pass out and sales after school. You are required to help at least one of the two days. See Mrs. Jasper to tell her when you will be helping. 8/27
