Activities Pass will be available for pick up TODAY after school from 2:35 to 3:00pm. 8-25
Attention all Blue Devils starting on Monday you must have a parking pass to park in the lower south lot or the 12th street Palmer lot and you are never allowed to park in the 12th street teachers lot. If you do not have a pass your car will be ticketed and towed. 8-26
Key Club! Key Club! Key Club!
Want to know what it is? Want to feel a part of something more? You have to volunteer. Tuesday after school in the west side of the cafeteria you are invited to hear more. Have fun, and make a difference! Be a part of Key Club.

Attention students who purchased last year’s yearbook—books can be picked up after school in Kemper room 12. Stop down and get your book so you don’t miss any of the great memories we made here at Central last year! Also this year’s 2008/2009 book can be purchased in the activities office. The cost is $60.00. Purchase your copy soon before the price goes up. 8/28
"Are you interested in helping your community, making new friends, and having fun? If so, you should check out Key Club, Central's community service club! Our first meeting of the year is next Tuesday, August 26, after school in the cafeteria; near the Oasis food station (we will have signs leading the way!). At this meeting, you can learn more about Key Club and meet other members. If you like what you see, you can sign up that day! Sound cool? Then we'll see you next Tuesday after school in the cafeteria! 8-26

We have been given permission to continue our open campus program for those who qualified by achieving their ITED goal and a grade point of 2.25 or better with no major disciplinary problems. It will take us a couple of weeks to prepare lists and to notify people who have earned the privilege. We will keep you posted. 8-25

Auditions for Central High School's fall musical, GUYS AND DOLLS, are coming up on Tuesday, September 26, IMMEDIATELY AFTER SCHOOL in Kahler Auditorium. Recalls will take place on Wednesday, September 27 immediately after school. Auditions are open to the entire student body and ALL STUDENTS, whether they are in choir or not, are encouraged to audition for the show, under the direction of Rebecca Buening and Emily Wall. The audition process will involve singing and acting-- cuts will be given at auditions. COME ONE, COME ALL! See you next Tuesday! 8-26
Attention all yearbook staff members there will be a mandatory meeting on Monday, August 25th in Kemper 12 at 2:45 on Monday. We have several things to go over so be sure to be prompt and to bring a notebook. 8/25
Shades of Success and Boys to Men will meet Wednesday, Aug. 27th at 1:40pm in room 419. All students are welcome. The Pullout Program for Shades of Success and Boys to Men will begin in October. Those students will receive more information in September. See Ms. Teague in 425 with questions. 8-26
Attention all football players the Activity bus will start today. It will provide transportation to Brady Street Stadium for football practice for those who need a ride. It will leave at exactly 2:47 pm. So, if you don't want to walk hurry and jump on before it leaves! Thanks, Coach Roering 8-25
Fellowship of Christian Athletes will have its first meeting this Friday morning at 7:00 AM in the auditorium. You don't have to sign up just show up. Be on time, Bring a friend and Get Focused! See Mr. Hawley if you have questions. 8-28

Attention all CHS students, now that you have planners, this is a reminder you must have them in the hallways as a pass during class time. For those of you who arrive late to school, you will need to come in through Main Street Doors and sign in and receive an admit pass to get into your first block. Please plan on leaving the house in plenty of time to get to school on time. School starts at 7:45am; meaning you are in class ready to learn at that time. 8-26
Freshmen, Freshmen, Freshmen, next Wednesday, September 3rd from 7-9pm in the CHS café is your very own free freshmen dance. The entire freshmen class is invited to attend. Come and meet your new classmates. Remember it is next Wednesday, September 3rd. 8-29
Attention all Blue Devils, this Thursday, August 28th is our first home football game. Band and cheerleaders will perform and this season opening game will be quite the event. To get everyone fired up for the big game we will have a pep rally on the Main Street Plaza this Thursday at 2:20pm. We ask all students to wear their Central gear and support Davenport Central Athletics. 8-28
All CHS dancers…starting tonight in the CHS café will be poms/dance team try-outs from 3-5pm. Even if you are a cheerleader, winter guard member, or an athlete, if you like to dance, consider trying out for our new and improved dance team! See you tonight! 8-26
