Announcements for 5-15-08Due to the increased amount of graffiti found in the restrooms, only selected restrooms will be left unlocked until further notice. A reward continues to be offered for credible information leading to the arrest of persons responsible for graffiti and threats written. 5-16 All boys track team members need to turn in their clean uniforms and warm-ups to Coach Tandy in room 309 ASAP to avoid fines. 5-16 Reminder to all German Club members: We are meeting this Saturday, May 17, at 3:15 P.M. at Central to carpool to our spring cookout. Please, come by my room to let me know whether you are attending this event. 5-16 Come see Central's national qualifying project for National History Day! Karl Baresel and Emily Aronson will be performing, Harmony Through Contrast: The Lincoln Story on Thursday, May 15th right after school in the auditorium. Come see this short performance about the Lincoln marriage. See you there! 5-15 Are you interested in being in choir next year, but are not currently enrolled? Auditions are being held now for next year's Concert Chorale, Concert Choir Women, and Varsity Choirs. Anyone interested in next year's groups should come and see Mr. Reese and Miss Wall in the choir room (room 259) Thursday or Friday. The choirs involve approximately 300 students at Central...come and be part of the fun and learning. 5-16 Auditions for next year's Show Choirs, Blue Vibrations and Central Singers, will be held Tuesday, May 27th starting at 3:15. Students will need to have a short part of a song to sing (please have music with you) and you will also learn a short dance routine. The show choirs have traveled to competitions in Iowa, Wisconsin, Missouri, Illinois, Nebraska, and Florida. If you like performing, we strongly urge you to consider show choir. To be in show choir, you will also need to be enrolled in choir next year. 5-27 Anyone who would like to pre-order flowers for graduation to pick up at the I Wireless Center the day of graduation can call Michelle Rudnick at 563.322.0959. The flowers will be wrapped, have red and blue ribbons, and have a Blue Devil card attached for your message. There is an order form available, Flowers for the Grad, to print, fill out, and mail to Michelle Rudnick. The deadline for preorders is May 23. 5-16
ANY STUDENT ATTENDING THE SIX FLAGS TRIP NEEDS TO SIGN UP FOR BUSES IMMEDIATELY IN THE CHOIR ROOM. SEE A MUSIC TEACHER TO GET THE ITINERARY AND THE RELEASE FORM THAT MUST BE SIGNED BY FRIDAY OR YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND THIS TRIP. 5-16 Hey all you Central students. Overdue library books and fines are a huge problem. Please return you books this week.
