Did you know that global paper consumption is expected to double in 15 years? You can help by putting all of your paper and cardboard products in the blue recycling bins, both here and at home. Again, thank you for your help in saving our Earth. 4-24 If you are going on the Luther College trip, see you bright and early at 6:00 a.m. in the North High School parking lot. If anyone is willing to bring bagels and/or donuts to share, come see Mrs. Heninger. Bring some money for food or souvenirs. See you Friday. 4-24 Tonight the boy’s soccer team which is 4-1 and ranked #11 in the state of Iowa will take on North on the new turf at Brady Stadium. Well, help build one anyway! Key Club members are working on a Habitat for Humanity house this weekend, and we invite members of the CHS community to help us out! For each student that attends, Key Club will donate $15 to Habitat for Humanity! Once completed, this house will be occupied by a family who could not otherwise afford to buy their own residence. We will be at the site, which is in Rock Island, from 8 am to 4 pm this Saturday, April 26. However, you can come for a few hours if you like! If you are interested in racking up some community service hours, getting a free lunch, and working on your tan before prom, this is for you! To work on the actual construction of the house, you must be 16 years old, but if you are not 16 you can still do non-construction work. Also, you must be sure to pick up a parental waiver and volunteer sheet from the Activities office during passing time or after school. After being signed by a parent or guardian if you are under 18, please return this sheet to the Activities office by Friday afternoon. Come on Central - let's get some fresh air and help the community! 4-25 This is a reminder to all of those students going to Luther College on Friday - you are to meet at 6:00 a.m. in the North High School parking lot.
