Announcements for 4-08-08

Attention Central Speech Team members and to those students who are interested in being on the team next year : On Thursday there will be a short meeting in room 306 after school to discuss our end of the year activity and make plans for next year's speech season. All who are interested should plan on attending. 4-10

Attention all Girls Golf members: Tonight's meet in Burlington has been canceled. Please meet at 3pm at the Dome for practice. 4-8

There is a parent' of publications meeting tonight at 7p.m. in Kemper. If you are going to Anaheim be there. Fifth -9th block newspaper- stories are on the board get signed -up. 4-8

This year’s varsity boy’s basketball team will meet in the north parking lot at 5:15pm on Wed. We will drive to the city council to be recognized by the Davenport council at 5:30pm. 4-9

Directors for the Drama Club's One-Act plays should see Ms. Buening in room 305 immediately after school today. 4-8

Attention All Athletes: Sport Physicals will be given on this Wednesday April 9th for $10 in the Central Cafeteria from 6-8 pm. 4-9

All JROTC Cadets planning on going to JCLC or summer camp this year- please remember there is a mandatory summer camp parent meeting at 6PM on Thursday in the JROTC classrooms. 4-8

The Scott County Special Olympics and the Davenport Parks and Recreation Department are looking for high school students to volunteer to help with the Unified Volleyball Program at St. Ambrose from April 16 - May 14. If you are interested, please pick up a flier in the guidance office. 4-8

The Army JROTC Battalion had its annual Formal ball and awards banquet on Sunday. The following Army JROTC cadets are recognized as the Superior cadets for this school year. Their outstanding Leadership and dedication to the Army JROTC program is the reason this program is so successful:

We want to also recognize for their special contribution and leadership: Kathryn Gaskin, Daniel Lemus, Megan Watson, and Ryan Klien. Great job and way to go Cadets. 4-8

ATTENTION ALL GIRLS BASKETBALL PLAYERS: OPEN GYMS WILL BEGIN TODAY AT 5:00. MEET COACH EAGLE IN THE WEIGHT ROOM. 4-8

Hey Blue Devils- want save 10 Bucks . .and who doesn’t. Then now is the time to order your yearbook before the price goes up ten dollars on April 15th. Plus the next 50 people to order a yearbook in room 417 get treated to a special prize-- Don’t feel left out if you already ordered a book – you too might be a winner. Listen to the announcements all week for your chance to be a winner. To order a yearbook simply bring your $55.00 to room 417 and claim your prize. 4-11

Attention Central High Students you can now register for the Summer School classes. Applications can be picked up in the guidance office. Register as soon as possible as there are limited number of spaces available for summer school. 4-11

Blue Crew will be meeting after school on Tuesday in the west side of the cafeteria. Please plan on attending. 4-11

Reminder to all German Club members: You are invited to attend a presentation by Rick Velando today right after school in R 335. 4-8

Past, present and future Spanish students interested in traveling to Mexico and Costa Rica next summer: Bring your parents to an informational meeting on Thursday, April 10 at 5:30 in room 331.
