Quill & Scroll Seniors -you need to vote today through Friday in Kemper or see Jessica Seier/ Tim Corlett for Proxy. Publications students all lists are posted in Kemper including Publication Banquet, FAD- Iowa State, and ACAP. Questions see Ms Buttleman Malcolm or Ms Jasper. Those performing at FAD need to see David Whalen or Tim Corlett. 4-2 Congratulations to the Girls Track & Field team for a strong performance last night at the Ladies Classic at Brady Stadium. The team recorded 28 season-bests and 2 lifetime-best performances, led my Nikki Miller's win in the Varsity 400 and runner-up finish in the Varsity 200. On the JV side, Tiffany Taylor won the long jump. Joei Turnmeyer won the high jump and finished 2nd in the 100 hurdles; the 4-by-200 relay of Lauren Portz, Allison Carter, Katie Corlett, and Tiffany Taylor finished first; and the 1600 medley relay of Breanna Watts, Desiree Davis, Courtney Lofgren, and Caitlin McCullough finished first. Other placewinners for the Lady Blue Devils were Lexy Baltimore, Akayla Baumann, Kenya Bostic, Jessica Brown, Kelli Collins, Jazmine Constantino, Mallory Cross, Kathleen Giorgio, Kelsey Hoeksema, Melanie Louis, Shaley Maher, Jayomie McGowan, Chelsea Rink, Kelsey Tope, Mary VanCamp, Jessi VandenBerg, Kelsey VandenBerg, Jasmine Watts, Breanna Watts, Nicole Watts, and Brittney Wilmington. Congratulations on a great meet! 4-3 This I Believe is the title of an old book, a new book, and a popular National Public Radio series. In the series, both famous and ordinary people express their core beliefs in short, personal essays. The Quad City community has been encouraging citizens to write down their own beliefs and share them with their friends and family. Many of our Central students have been writing their own "This I Believe" statements. The editors of the NPR "This I Believe" show will be at the Bettendorf Public Library this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. All students are encouraged to attend this event. You might just discover how you would complete the statement, "This I Believe". 4-3 If you were on a Mock Trial team this year and have not yet signed the card for your attorneys, you need to stop by room 501 as soon as possible. Also, be sure to contribute to their gift when you come. See you soon. 4-2 All ReadnRap participants need to pick up their permission slips for the BIG event on April 10th from Mrs. Heninger. This is just a reminder that all library fines must be paid and all detentions must be served or you will not be allowed into the dance or the after-prom. Would you rather spend your Saturday with your date at Prom or with Mr. Classon in Saturday school? Don’t disappoint your date; get those things taken care of now. 4-4 Attention all baseball players: preseason conditioning will start on Monday after spring break. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday there will be weight lifting right after school in the dungeon. On Tuesday's and Thursday's all pitchers and catchers should report to the stadium at 4 PM. 4-2
