Announcements for 3-11-10
Students today is that last day to pick up the Final Opt Out forms in the counselor’s office. You may not pick up a form on Monday the day they are due.
Be sure all teachers sign the form in the right places and filled it out correctly and complete. That is your responsibility to check that.
The form must be turned in by the end of the school day on Monday, March 15 by 2:45p.m. No exception.
Congratulations to the following yearbook students who made the 2010 National Scholastic Press Association Honor Roll: Mercedes Masias, Kaylyn Maher, Katie Voigts, Maura Warner, and Abbey Wilkins. Way to go Ladies!
Come check out the Davenport Central Winter Drumline this tonight at 7:30pm in George Marshall. The performance is free and open to the public so bring everyone you know and show your support for the Winter Drumline.

Seniors that were not able to pick up their graduation announcements last Friday, they are now in the Activities Office. You are able to pick them up before or after school or in between passing time.
Today is the last day of the Thursday Intramural Bowling League. All who have been bowling in this league are invited for a year ending Pizza Party. Yes, there will be bowling, food and refreshments. Please make sure you are paid up.
Attention all students interested in trying out for cheerleading for the 2010-2011 season. Clinics will be held Tuesday March 23rd and Wednesday March 24th from 4:00 to 5:30 in George Marshall Gym. Tryouts will be Thursday March 25th @ 5:00pm! See you there!
Iowa Hawkeye football player Julian Vandervelde and mountain climber Lori Schneider will speak at the Davenport Schools Foundation fundraiser-gala on Saturday, April 10, at 7 p.m. at the Putnam Museum and IMAX Theatre in Davenport. Vandervelde is a 2006 graduate of Central High School. Schneider climbed Mt. Everest in 2009 and is the only woman with multiple sclerosis to ever climb the highest mountain on all seven continents. Proceeds will help the Great Minds program. Tickets are $50. Contact Norm Bower at the foundation office at 563-336-5004. (repeat number)
Newspaper students who have not checked in this week must see Ms Buttleman today. Your Stringbooks are due Tuesday and worth 50% of your grade- No exceptions. There is a new format so books must be updated to receive credit.
Bricolage is now accepting contributions for the D term publication. The theme is “Secrets”.
