Announcements for 2-28-08

It’s PING-PONG time again! The United Way Ping-Pong tournament will be held on Monday March 3rd in the Cafeteria with the competitions starting at 6:30. There will be a singles tournament and a doubles tournament. Singles will cost $5 and doubles will be $10 per team. Grab a sign-up form right outside of the library and make sure to grab a partner or challenge a friend to take you on. There will also be spectacular prizes this year. A free bus and game ticket to the Wednesday night basket ball will be given to each of the winners in the singles and doubles division. A 4th ticket will be randomly drawn from those entered in the tournament. 2-29

We will have representative from Scott Community College at 10:00 am in the guidance office today. Stop and get a pass if interested in visiting with them. 2-28

Next Tuesday at 7pm in Centennial Hall at Augustana College, the Vocal and Orchestra departments will honor Barb Hess in music. Ms. Hess favorites from Russia, the Beatles, and more will be featured along with all the CHS vocal and orchestra groups joining forces for a huge Central Finale. Admission is free. That's next Tuesday at 7pm at Auggie. See you there. 2-28

Congratulations to the Girls Track & Field team for a strong effort last night at the QC Indoor track meet at Augustana College. The 4-by-800 relay team of Sarah Peterson, Melanie Louis, Shaynetta Williams, and Chelsea Rink earned 6th-place medals, and the 4-by-400 relay team of Nicole Watts, Kelsey VandenBerg, Tiffany Taylor, and Nikki Miller came home with 5th-place medals. Great job Blue Devils! 2-28
