Announcements for 2-25-08

Congratulations to Central Singers and Blue Vibes Show Choirs, Pit, and Crew--Central Singers were named Grand Champions at this weekend's competition at Southeast Polk and Blue Vibes took 2nd place in the Prep. Division. Central Singers Pit was given the award for Best Combo and Kelsey VandenBerg was named Best Female Soloist of the day. If you want to see these amazing groups in action, make sure to buy a ticket to Show Choir Show Off now- they are available in Miss Wall's office! Show Off takes place on March 10th at 7pm at the Adler Theater! 2-25

Attention Students: This week is change week. If you need to make changes on your D term schedule you need to see your counselor this week. Don’t miss out. 2-26

Tickets for tomorrow nights Boys’ Basketball Sub-State final v. Bettendorf at Pleasant Valley are now on sale in the Activities Office. The cost is $6.00/ticket. Tickets will be available until 3:30pm on Tuesday or until they sell out. 2/26

Guess What?! It’s PING-PONG time again! The United Way Ping-Pong tournament will be held on Monday March 3rd in the Cafeteria with the competitions starting at 6:30. There will be a singles tournament and a doubles tournament. Singles will cost $5 and doubles will be $10 per team. Grab a sign-up form right outside of the library and make sure to grab a partner or challenge a friend to take you on. 2-25

Quad City Scholars applications are now due. Please submit to Mrs. Hester, room 403 by Wednesday, February 27, 2008. 2-25

Blue Crew Members! There will be a Blue Crew meeting on Wednesday at 7:15 in the IMC. Planning for trips to the middle schools will be discussed! 2-25

Newspaper students the lab is open until 4p.m. Get your stories in- they are past due. 2-27

Newspaper students, Quill & Scroll, and International Club- Come to Kemper to get passes for pictures. They will be taken 8:10 Thursday. 2-27

The following wrestlers need to return your travel bags to Coach Ehlinger: Max Mayfield, Emilio Arroyo, Cole Walton, McKinze Jackson, and And Jacob Gibson. Also a reminder to wrestlers that off-season workouts start tonight at 2:50pm. 2-25

All girls interested in playing soccer this spring need to attend an informational meeting Tues. Feb. 26 at 3p.m. in the cafeteria. If you cannot make the meeting make sure you see Coach Petersen in the gym. 2-26

Dad’s Club Girls Softball is currently underway. Registration ends March 31st. Registration forms can be picked up in the Activities Office during passing times and after school.
