Announcements for 2-15-08

Next Wednesday, we will have parent/teacher conferences for C Term in the Central Café from 4-7pm. Please invite your families to attend. 2-15

Attention all seniors, any of you who do not have your senior pictures taken for the yearbook can come to the community room on Tuesday, February 26th from 8-12 so your picture is in the yearbook this year. 2-15

All students who missed ITED testing please note that we will ask you to make-up the test on Tuesday morning. 9th and 10th graders who need to make-up will report to the west end of the cafeteria and 11th graders will report to the library. The library will be closed because of ITED make-ups next Tuesday and Wednesday and in the morning on Thursday and Friday. 2-15

The boy’s track and field parent meeting will be next Wednesday 2/20 right after parent conferences at 7:00 pm in the gym. 2-20

To all members of the German Club: Our next meeting is right after school on Tuesday, Jan.19 in R 335. We will be discussing our next two activities. 2-19

Attention Seniors! Many of you have not turned in your paperwork for open campus. It appears that some of you who do not have a second or a fourth block class feel you may come in late or leave early without turning in the sheets. This is not true! You will be counted absent from the commons if you have not done the proper paper work. If you are to be gone for all or part of the lunch period, you must have the paperwork completed! Help us avoid any problems along these lines by checking the list posted outside the office or outside room 419. If you feel an error has been made, contact Mr. Classon immediately. 2-15

"Hey Key Club members - please keep in mind over the weekend that next week is conferences! You know what that means - we need you to make baked goods and help baby-sit and sell on Wednesday. So what are you going to do on your lazy, no-school Monday (besides sleep in)? Bake like you're the Pillsbury Doughboy! However, please do not bring your delicious treats to school until Wednesday, when you can simply drop them off in Mr. Kutler's room. Also, it's very important that everyone attends our meeting next Tuesday - we have a lot to cover. As always, see any officer, Ms. Franks, or Mrs. Marshall if you have any questions." 2-15

Could the following students come see Mrs. Heninger today?  Kenzie O'Hare, Courtney Schindler, Aubrey Kall, Allie Waterlander Brenna Ross, Gabe Hearn, and Anna Kaufmann. 2-15

Great River Show Choir Invitational is hosted by Davenport Central and West High Schools at the Adler Theater/River Center on February 15-16. There will be 10 middle school show choirs competing on Friday night and 22 high school show choirs competing on Saturday, as well as 6 concert choirs. The groups come from schools across Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin and will most likely bring in about 2,000 student participants as well as countless parents, friends, and family who come to support these students. Each of the hosting schools' groups will also perform as exhibition groups who perform to showcase the hosting students rather than being part of the competition. This event is open to the public and will run from about 4:30-10:00pm on Friday night and from 8:00am-11:00pm on Saturday. COME CHECK OUT THE SHOW CHOIRS OF DAVENPORT NORTH, CENTRAL, AND WEST, AS WELL AS MANY OTHER GROUPS FROM THE MIDWEST AT THIS AWESOME EVENT!! 2-15
