Announcements for 1-28-10
All of the Scholastic Bowl teams will have their yearbook picture taken this Friday after school. Please report to room 501 for a few short moments to take your picture.
Attention Central students: a letter was recently sent to your house from Jostens about purchasing a yearbook. You can purchase yearbooks through Jostens or in the Activities office for $65.00. The letter was sent in a mass mailing so if you think you have already purchased a book you can check with Mrs. Jasper in Kemper 12 or check the list that will posted Wednesday outside the main office. The yearbook is a spring delivery book this year so the cut off to buy the book is fast approaching. Don’t miss out!
Attention Central Students that are going to the Spree Dance this weekend and are taking someone from a different school need to have your Permission Slip due to the Activities Office no later than 3:15 pm today.
Attention all FCA members. All t-shirt orders need to be in by Friday, January 29. Please stop by the dean’s office to place your order before or after school.
Attention all students. If you are late to first block you have a 15 minute detention that needs to be served within three days after school in the auditorium. If you are late to second, third, or fourth block you owe the classroom instructor a 15 minute detention. Students who do not serve their detentions will be issue a 1 hour detention. All detentions need to be served in order to attend the Spree Dance on January 30.
There will be a short Blue Crew meeting today to discuss the cake auction, t-shirts, 8th grade orientation, and future activities. Please try to be there.
The Freshman Scholastic Bowl team is having a practice on Friday, January 29th at 7:00 a.m. This practice is for freshmen only. New members are always welcome, so come try this fast-paced academic game. See you Friday morning.
Do you like vampires? We do! If you like watching and discussing vampire movies and reading and discussing vampire books then join us in Mr. Flaherty’s room 515 today right after school at 2:40.
Publications students- Quill & Scroll and Iowa High School Press Association individual event mail ins are due- Events are on the board. Fill out your paper work now. Publication Students with a 3.75 overall average need to submit transcripts for NSPA Honor Roll. Questions see Buttleman. 1/28/10
