Attention Close Up Students: You need to see Mr Duvall in Room 527 THIS WEEK if you are wanting to go on the trip. The date has been changed to week of May 4. 1-14-08

Congratulations to the Central Speech Team for a fine showing at Dubuque Wahlert on Saturday. The team was led by Erin Friedrich who placed 3rd in Dramatic Interp. 1-14-08

Our next tournament will be at Muscatine on January 26th. If you are interested in participating in this event, see Mr. Hartje in room 306 right away. 1-14-08

The Bluedevil wrestlers were in action Saturday at the MAC varsity conference tournament. Paul Shumaker finished third at 119 lbs, McKinzie Jackson finished fourth at 160 lbs. Tommy Mirocha won his second conference championship in 3 years by winning the 130 lbs championship, and Max Mayfield repeated last year’s 125 lbs conference championship by winning it again at 125 lbs. Teamwise, the Bluedevils finished 8th out of the ten team conference with only 4 wrestlers scoring, finishing ahead of Muscatine and North. Outstanding effort by the Bluedevil wrestlers. 1-14-08

The Central Varsity Scholastic Bowl team was in action this past Saturday at the Sterling High School High School Varsity Invitational in Sterling, Illinois. Team members participating were: Ben Behrendt, Brendan Iglehart, Austin Laugen, Stephen Quist, and PJ Wiese. Toss ups were led by Ben, followed closely by Austin, but all five team members contributed significantly in answering the questions. Congratulations to all five team members on a difficult, but close morning round of competition. 1-14-08

The freshman Scholastic Bowl team is practicing tomorrow on Tuesday at 7:00 a.m. If you are a freshman who would like to see what Scholastic Bowl is all about, come join us tomorrow morning in room 501. 1-14-08

The Sophomore Scholastic Bowl team is practicing on Wednesday at 7:00 a.m. If you are a sophomore, I hope to see you at the practice. We are trying to decide whether we have enough people to field a team at the Rock Island Tournament this weekend. 1-14-08

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS-C TERM SCHEDULES WILL BE PASSED OUT TODAY AND TOMORROW IN THE LUNCH ROOM! EVERY STUDENT NEEDS TO PICK UP THEIR SCHEDULE FOR C TERM EITHER TODAY OR TOMORROW. 1-15-08

Attention ALL JROTC Cadets- no marksmanship training on Monday. 1-14-08

Attention all Blue Devils if you do not have a parking pass you cannot park in the lower lot. If you do your car may be ticketed or towed. Those of you that have parking passes, the parking is first come first served until the construction is over and more spots open up. If you get here and there are no spots available you cannot "create your own spot" you will have to park on the street. Anyone that has a problem with this see Mrs... Hansen in the gym and your money will be refunded and you can park on the street everyday. Until then please be patient the construction will be over soon. 1-14-08

5th-9th block newspaper students, string books must be in by Tuesday and be completely updated. All new assignments are on the board in Kemper. There will be a parent's meeting Tuesday night in Kemper at 7p.m. Questions see Ms Buttleman. 1-15-08

There will be a Blue Crew meeting on Wednesday in the IMC at 7:15. All Blue Crew members please plan on attending. 1-14-08

Attention all seniors. Please remind your parents that baby ads are due February 15, all of the information was mailed out before the holiday break. We need these in ASAP! You may bring them to the main office or room 417. Thank you 1-31-08

Have you ever wanted to learn sign language? Now you have the perfect opportunity. Instruction will begin on Wednesday, January 16th, in room 415 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm, and will be every Wednesday. Contact Mr. Gluck for more information. We hope to see you there! 1-16-08
