Announcements for 1-04-08

Attention juniors: You can qualify for 30 minutes of relaxation time in the commons area on Wednesdays during third block of next term by passing all of your second term classes, reaching a 2.0 grade point for the term, and maintaining acceptable discipline standards.

Attention seniors: You can qualify for an hour of open campus on Wednesdays during third block of next term by passing all of your second term classes, reaching a 2.25 grade point for the term and maintaining acceptable discipline standards.

Attention sophomores: Your chance for 30 minutes of relaxation time in the commons area on Wednesdays during third block will come during term four. You will need to reach a grade point of 1.75, an ITED goal, pass all of your third term classes and maintain acceptable discipline standards. More details to follow! 1-7-08

Mock Trial Team B - (this is Austin Laugen and Brenna Ross' team) - is meeting on Monday, January 7th at 3:00 p.m. at Mr. Buzzell's law office.  It is very important that you attend.  If you cannot come, you must email Mr. Buzzell to let him know.  If you need a ride, contact Austin. 1-7-08

The Varsity Scholastic Bowl team will be practicing on Tuesday, January 8th at 7:00 a.m. to prepare for our upcoming tournament in Sterling, Illinois.  All Varsity players should try to come to the practice.  Also, please let Mrs. Heninger know if you are able to make it to the Sterling tournament on Saturday, January 12th. 1-7-08

To all members of the German Club: Our next meeting is Tuesday, Jan.8, at 2:45 in R 335. We are meeting to update our schedules and plan our next activity. 1-4-08

Attention to the cast of Hay fever: Please report to the auditorium immediately after school for a brief meeting with the director. You will receive your scripts and other valuable information. Also, those wishing to be in involved with assistant directing or crew should also attend. 1-4-08

The Bluedevil wrestlers were in action last night against Sherrard. At the varsity level, Max Mayfield won by a tech fall, 26-10, Mckinze Jackson won by major decision, 18-7, and Tommy Mirocha won by major decision, 14-4. At the JV level, Tay-Tay Tensley and Drake Hull both won by fall. Great Job Bluedevils. 1-4-08

ATTENTION ALL SENIORS AND JUNIORS!  THE 2008 AFTER PROM STILL NEEDS YOUR HELP!  A REPRESENTATIVE FOR THE QC PROM FASHION EXPO WILL BE AT LUNCH ON FRIDAY TO SIGN UP VOLUNTEERS AND INTERNS FOR THIS YEAR'S EVENT.  IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MODELING, MARKETING, DESIGN, FASHION OR EVENT PLANNING, PLEASE SIGN UP TODAY! 1-4-08

Mock Trial Team C (This is Julia Kiley and Teresa Foster's team) will be holding their first meeting tomorrow, Friday, January 4th at 3:00 p.m. at the Scott County Courthouse.  You will be meeting with your attorney coaches, Amy Devine and Mike Walton, for the first time.  It is very important that you attend.  If you cannot come, you must email your coaches to let them know. 1-4-08

Attention seniors: You can apply now for a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and you will need to apply for it on-line at www.FAFSA.ed.gov Also apply for the Wal Mart Scholarship application which is due by January 14th As well as for the Robert Byrd Scholarship this is due by February 1st Both of them need to apply on-line. 1-4-08

A huge thank you from Mayor Gluba and the entire Davenport City Council goes out to Choir member Keenan Wilson, AJROTC Cadets Ryan Wilson, Nick Watson, Curtirce Lockhart, and Ashley Fox. Keenan Wilson sang the National Anthem and The Cadets executed the honor guard to perfection. Great job. 1-4-08

Attention Bowling Team – Practice tomorrow is at Plamor Lanes in Muscatine.  Please arrive between 3:30 and 3:45 pm.
