ACT/SAT
The ACT and SAT are both college entrance exams that are designed to measure a student’s current level of knowledge. Both test consists of several subjects including Mathematics, Science, and English and an optional Plus Writing test. These exam are meant to gauge a student’s understanding of these topics, and their ability to apply that knowledge to a standardized set of questions.

Please contact the Counseling and Student Services Office with any questions concerning test preparation, scheduling, payment, results, or any other concerns.
PSAT
To take the PSAT at Central, register with our guidance secretary. To register, make your check for $25 payable to Central High School. With a limited number of tests available, register early to order your test and have maximum time to study, review, and practice for the test. You will be given a Study Guide after you register to take the test, so take the time to prepare for the test.
By taking this test your junior year, you will be eligible to be screened for scholarships and recognition in the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test Program (NMSQT). We encourage you to take this valuable opportunity for possible academic recognition and to enhance your college applications and admissions process as well as for potential scholarship opportunities.
Incoming freshmen, as well as any other students, can take the test for a $25 fee.
