  • MVP Training

Eighteen Central High School students attended a day long training on Wednesday, September 4th at the ASC conducted  by Dr. Alan Heisterkamp.  Dr. Hesterkamp is from the Center for Violence Prevention located at UNI.  Staff and students from Mid-City High, North High and West High School also attended the training which not only focuses on anti-bullying training, but also on anti-bystander training as well.  These students join previously trained MVP mentors at CHS for a total of 53  trained MVP student mentors.  Together they are are delivering MVP lessons twice monthly to all ninth grade homerooms. Thank you to Dr. Hesterkamp for lending us your talent and to the student volunteers who are making a difference in their school communities every day.
