Multicultural Appreciation
Davenport Central High School is an educational institution with a rich history and diverse culture that culminate to create an atmosphere of diversity and inclusion. It is our goal to raise awareness for our student body and the community, highlighting the importance of our diverse population. We want to build a culture that not only accepts our diversity but celebrates those traits that make us unique and exceptional. These traits will help our students thrive in a heterogeneous world and we will continue to strive to create opportunities in our classrooms, clubs, and extracurricular activities for our students to grow in their knowledge and appreciation of our multicultural population.
In order to achieve these goals we will be highlighting a different culture each month that comprises our population. During these months, we will be presenting information about the culture, historical figures, and other valuable, diverse information. If you have any suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. McKissick, Central’s building principal, mckissicks@davenportschools.org. Thank you for your participation and for helping us grow.
