Matson Honored at Kinnick
JROTC educator and city alderman Mike Matson was presented as the Fight for Iowa honoree at the Iowa game on November 4th. Sergeant Major Matson served as an Army Ranger for 20 years. The Matson family has a long history of military dedication; his grandfather served our country during World War I, his father served in the Korean War, and his son, Joe, is currently stationed on an Army base in Georgia. Joe and Matson’s father were also with Sergeant Major at the presentation. Congratulations to Sergeant Major Matson on this honor, and thank you for your years of service to our community and our country.
