IT IS A GREAT DAY TO BE A BLUE DEVIL ~ here are your Daily Announcements:
Come get your coffee and then buy a treat at the Environmental Club’s Bake Sale this Friday morning in the library. We are raising money to pay for a refillable water bottle fountain on the 4th floor. Come support this cause and enjoy some fabulous treats in the process!!!
We are about half way through the Recycle Bowl contest. Central High School is competing against North and West in the First Annual Davenport Recycle-Bowl. We are trying to be the school in Davenport that collects the most recyclable material per capita. So, throw their cans and bottles and paper in the blue recycling containers, not the trash! Let’s show North and West that we are the GREENEST school in town!
Student are reminded that the P3 Campus App is available for download to your phones. P3 allows you to anonymously report issues to school officials ~ it should be LIVE today. Be sure to get this app on your phone!
CENTRAL Station, CHS’s on-site food pantry, has changed it hours. It is open this Friday, April 12th but only students who sign up in FLEXISCHED for Mrs. Wurdinger will allowed to shop during DC time. All others must shop either the last fifteen minutes of 4th block or after school.
Are you looking for summer employment? Bettplex is currently hiring in their concessions area. Stop by the counseling office for more details and pick up an application.
Seniors planning to attend Scott Community College next year, if you haven’t applied yet, you may do so during DC Time on Thursday with the rep from Scott. Email Mrs. Tanner if you would like to attend.
Seniors! With the end of the year rapidly approaching please remember to report any scholarships, grants or awards to Mrs. Pacha in the counseling office. We would like to include them in the honors program. Also, see Mrs. Pacha if you have not completed a post plan form. It is mandatory for all seniors to complete this form. Thank you!
All, Please do not park in the South teacher parking area near Main street and near door 6S. This is also near the South GFH door. These first two rows closet to the GFH is for Teachers only. You will be tagged.
ACT Prep sessions in Science are being offered tomorrow. Sign up with Ms, Jack, Mr. Darland or Ms. Nelson in Flexisched.
Remember there is no after-school tutoring tonight, we will resume our regular schedule next week.
Tickets for the Junior/Senior Prom go on sale Monday. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Remember you must have a school ID to get into the dance and into After Prom. If you are bringing a guest from another school you need to pick up an approval form in the activities office. The dance is Saturday April 27th from 7-10 at The Gold Leaf in Davenport. This year’s theme is “To The Moon and Back” Seniors you will be entered into a drawing for a TV and other prizes to be given away at the dance. Prom King and Queen will be crowed at the dance.
Remember all detentions must be severed in order to attend the dance and After Prom.
After Prom is right after the dance at Northpark Mall. Doors open at 10:30 and are locked at 11:15. After Prom is for Juniors and Seniors and their dates that they brought to the dance. If you don’t attend the dance you cannot bring a date that is not a Junior or Senior.. You MUST have an ID to get into After Prom.
Seniors, be sure to sign up for Mrs. Hansen’s DC time next Tuesday, April 16th. We will meet in Kahler and will be going over some senior picnic information and nominating Prom King and Queen.
