    IT IS A GREAT DAY TO BE A BLUE DEVIL ~ here are your Daily Announcements:

    The girls soccer team lost a hard fought game to Moline on Friday night, 4-2. Central had goals from Ellianna Revell-Beck and Ella Chitwood. They play at Muscatine tonight, and against Dubuque Hempstead on Saturday for senior day! Come support our girls.

    Last Friday your girls track and field team closed the full season with 35 season bests and medals in 14 events at the district championships! The top performer was Cindy Gabriel Flores earning 2nd place in the discus! Other individual medalists were Vonna Rumley and Marissa Robertson in the shot put, Lois Blackman in the 1500, Brooklyn Johnson in the long jump, Kaitlin Carr in the 100 hurdles, Elizabeth Barfels and Krystal Lang in the 800, and Natalie Thede in the 100. Relay medals were earned in the 4-by-100, 4-by-200, 4-by-400, 4-by-800, shuttle hurdle, 800 medley, and 1600 medley. Team members were Nacari Bryant, Ariana Clinton, Hailie Dreyer, Demi Field, Tessa Goodwin, Bella Guy, Neah Howlett, Jordyn Johnson, Maggie Johnston, KyaSue Locke, Hana Senter, Aniah Smith, and Bella Ybarra.
    Special congratulations to our State qualifiers! Cindy Gabriel Flores in the discus, Vonna Rumley in the shot put, Brooklyn Johnson in the long jump, the shuttle hurdle relay of Kaitlin Carr, Hailie Dreyer, Hana Senter, Nacari Bryant; the 4-by-800 relay of Lois Blackman, Aniah Smith, Tessa Goodwin, Elizabeth Barfels; and alternates Jordyn Johnson and KyaSue Locke.

    Seniors see Mrs. Hansen in the gym to get your free picnic ticket. The picnic is next Wednesday, you will need this attendance ticket to get in.

    If you are a McKinley Mentor, remember to report to Kahler auditorium on Thursday, May 16 at 9:10 a.m. for our end of the year event. Please remember to bring your mentee a small gift.

    Catch-Up Academy is this Saturday, May 18th from 8:30-11:30. 10 teachers will be on available to help you do your best this term and food/beverage is provided. Remember, we have 17 school days left!

    Gear-Up is planning an Iowa State Visit for Juniors on May 23. You must be passing all your classes to attend, see Mr. Johnson to sign up.

    Thanks to everyone who braved the weather and came out to support our 2nd Annual Campus Clean-Up event on Saturday! Please do your part and help keep Central clean every day.

    Attention Golfers: Any men interested in playing golf on the Blue Devil Golf Team this Fall should sign up for Mr. Keller’s DC Time for Tuesday the 14th. We will be meeting to discuss offseason plans, John Deere Classic volunteering, and the beginning of the season. The meeting will be held in Room 253 (The Mirror Room) off of the cafeteria on Tuesday during DC Time. Please plan to attend if you are hoping to golf this Fall. See Coach Keller in room 259 if you are not going to be able to make it or have questions. Again, all boys golfers in grades 9-11 should sign up for Coach Keller’s DC Time for Tuesday May 14th
