    IT IS A GREAT DAY TO BE A BLUE DEVIL ~ here are your Daily Announcements:

    Last Thursday at The Ira Dunsworth Invitational, Iain Gronworld took 3rd in the 400m dash, Will Reemtsma took 1st in the 400 meter hurdles and 110 hurdles, 800 meter medley team of Gronwold, Goree, Martin, and Reemtsma placed 3rd, and Brody Erlandson placed 2nd in the high jump with a height of 6 feet.  Great work guys.

    Congratulations to the CHS orchestra students who participated in the the IHSMA State Large Group Festival this weekend.  During the festival, CHS orchestra students received 4 Division I “Superior” ratings, 6 Division II “Excellent” ratings, and 3 Division III “Good” ratings.  A special congratulations also goes out to the CHS Chamber Orchestra for earning a Division I “Superior” rating in the chamber orchestra category.  Students who earned a Division I “Superior” rating in one or more events include: Jason Bordine, Meghan Brewster, Isabel Buchanan, Delaney Burkhardt, Emily Diekmann, Lily Jewell, Kylie Latham, Lizzy McDonald, Peter McDonald, Jenny Mahl, Aron Mitchell, Cole Mitchell, Set Morales-Espinosa, Laura Sitz, Meredith Sloat, and Lexis Skiles.

    Our Central Mock Trial team just returned from competing in Des Moines at the state tournament. Although we didn’t place in the top twelve teams, our team competed with skill, intensity, and composure. Congratulations to seniors and captains Jess Elliott and Nina Lanciloti, Juniors Isabel Buchanan, Jacob Hansen, Jennifer Mahl, Hailey Mandell, Laura Sitz, Lucas Teasdale, and Zeke Wynsma, and sophomore Wini Aboyure. PROUD of Blue! 

    This past Saturday, nearly 100 vocal students competed in the annual Solo and Ensemble State Festival.  FIFTY-ONE of our 57 entries received either a Division One “Superior” rating or a Division Two “Excellent” rating.

    Congratulations to the following students for receiving a Division One “Superior” rating on their SOLO performances:

    FREE Panera Bread, Bagels, etc.  Students & Staff, Ms. Wildermuth & the iJAG Program will have Panera Pick Up Mondays during 4th Block.  Please send students who would like some Panera, with a pass during the 2nd Half of 4th Block to Room 518.  Staff is also welcome to take advantage of this opportunity free of charge, donations towards the 9/10 iJAG Program of Work will be accepted.  If you have any questions please contact Ms. Wildermuth. 

    Current sophomores and juniors has it ever been a dream of yours to travel to Europe? Have you ever wanted to see the London Bridge or Big Ben? How about the Eifel Tower and the Notre Dame Cathedral? Ever wondered what Omaha Beach looked like in Normandy? How about seeing the remnants of the Berlin Wall in Germany? Well, you have the chance to see all of this plus more while experiencing these diverse cultures in June of 2020. What do you need to do? All you need to do is convince your parents to come to the mandatory informational meeting on Tuesday, April 16th at 6pm in Central’s Cafeteria to find out more about this amazing opportunity. If you have any questions or for some reason you can’t attend the informational meeting see Mr. Pigney in room 523 before or after school.

    Student are reminded that the P3 Campus App is available for download to your phones.  P3 allows you to anonymously report issues to school officials ~ it should be LIVE today. Be sure to get this app on your phone!

    CENTRAL Station, CHS’s on-site food pantry, has changed it hours.  It is open this Friday, April 12th but only students who sign up in FLEXISCHED for Mrs. Wurdinger will allowed to shop during DC time.  All others must shop either the last fifteen minutes of 4th block or after school.
