IT IS A GREAT DAY TO BE A BLUE DEVIL ~ here are your Daily Announcements:

Happy Valentine’s Day! Central’s iJAG classes are having their 3rd Annual bake sale. The tables will be placed at the doors on 12th street and in front of Kemper Hall before and after school. So make sure you plan to stop by on this lovely day. We hope to see you there!

Scrunchies are for sale today during all lunches. Proceeds go to Dance Marathon- helping Iowa Children’s Hospital.

This Valentine’s Day, don’t settle for candy and munchies- give the gift of awesome scrunchies!

As we wrap up Respect Week, make sure the person you’re dating (or your friends) know that you care about them and want them to feel safe in a relationship.  By having an open dialogue about what a healthy relationship means to you, you’re off to a great start.  Teen dating violence is something that affects too many people every year.  Create a pact with your friends to talk about healthy and unhealthy relationships.  Whether you talk about what equality in a relationship looks like to you, or if you talk about a character on your favorite show that might be practicing unhealthy behavior, every moment you take to raise awareness is an important one!

Students interested in Student council for the 2020-2021 School Year. The application is online in your google classrooms. If you have questions or need help please see Mrs. Dennis in room 415.

The Quad City Historical Black Colleges and Universities Ambassadors are launching their 2021 Tour and they are visiting Central today at 10:00-11:00 AM in Kahler Auditorium. If you are interested in attending, please sign up in the Counseling and Student Service Center.

Members of the Ambassadors will also share information about scholarships and any future endeavors hosted by their organization that will benefit CHS students.

The first day of girl’s track & field practice is Monday! All girls who want to be part of the team must have their paperwork turned in to the Activities Office and to Coach Tru or Coach Rangel. See one of the coaches for more information.

Boys interested in playing Tennis, the signup sheet is in the activities office, come and sign up during passing time or after school today!

Boys Basketball game tonight vs Assumption high school. Freshman and Sophomore games start at 6:00 and Varsity is at 7:30. Good Luck Blue Devils!

Step right up Blue Devils and try your luck at the National Honors Society half-court shot-tonight during half-time of the varsity game!!  $1 per try and if you make it you’ll win a prize! All money raised will go towards Dance Marathon- our upcoming big event to help raise money for Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.  Show off your skills for the kids!

Catch-Up Academy is THIS SATURDAY FROM 8:30-11:30!  Talk to your teachers today and let them know you’re coming.

Please Remember to Always: Give Effort, Respect All, Involve Yourself and be Timely

    GO BLUE!!!!
