  • HOBY Leadership Seminar

Junior Donna Diggs recently had the opportunity to attend the Hugh O’Brian Youth (HOBY) State Leadership Seminar which was held at Drake University in DesMoines, IA.   While at the conference, Donna joined like minded students, dedicated to learning more about their leadership skills and talents and how to apply them as they become ethical leaders in their schools and the communities.  Based on the Social Change Model of Leadership, the seminar offered Donna the opportunity to develop leadership skills in personal leadership, group leadership, and leadership for society.  While Donna was nominated by her counselor to attend the seminar, her performance as a role model earned her the opportunity to attend the HOBY Worlds Seminar which took place at Loyola University in Chicago, IL. In addition, Donna was invited to return to serve as a group facilitator and mentor.  Great job, Donna!!!
