  • GEAR UP Visits City Hall

Davenport Central GEAR UP Iowa students were recently invited to visit Davenport City Hall by Mayor Frank Klipsch. Students visited City Hall chambers, various departments within the building, and participated in a Q & A session with Mayor Klipsch and his executive assistant, Ms. Tiffany Thorndike. They learned about processes and procedures that keep the city running efficiently. Central and GEAR UP would like thank Mayor Klipsch and Ms. Thorndike for the generous amount of time they shared with the group.  Students were encouraged about job shadowing and internship opportunities offered by the city.
