  • Domestic Violence Awareness Month

On Monday, October 9th, staff members from Family Resources, Inc.  Safepath program and members of Girls Learn International were present at all four lunches to talk with students about Domestic Violence Awareness Month.  Students participated in painting their pinkies purple to spread awareness and show support to domestic abuse survivors, along with receiving information on program services.  Twenty people per minute in the United States are physically abused by an intimate partner and on a typical day, more than 20,000 calls are received by domestic violence hotlines nationwide. Thank you to all who participated in this event and showed their support to domestic abuse victims and survivors.
