    Mr. Mark R. Schoeberl graduated from Iowa State University of Illinois, M.S. and Ph.D.; expertise in atmospheric science; developed gas mapping methods allowing for analysis of the polar stratosphere; developed the Goddard Trajectory Model to diagnose changes in the ozone hole; President, Atmospheric Sciences of the American Geophysical Union; leader, Earth Science Vision Initiative; recipient of twenty-two awards, including the William Nordberg Memorial Award for Earth Sciences, NASA's Exceptional Scientific Achievement Medal and NASA's Outstanding Leadership Medal and NASA's highest honor, the Distinguished Service Award.
