Hall of Honor Recipient

James L. Ketelsen
Class of 1948
Inducted in 1993

    Mr. Ketelsen graduated from Northwestern University in 1942 and rose through the business ranks to become Chairman and C.E.O. of a Fortune 500 company, Tenneco, Inc., from 1978-1992.  As a CPA in Chicago, he jointed J.I. Case in 1959 become President in 1967.  After Case was acquired by Tenneco, he ultimately rose to the highest ranks of Tenneco.

    James L. Ketelsen is a director of Sara Lee Corp., GTE Corp., J.P. Morgan & Co., and Guaranty Trust Co.  He is a regent of the University of Houston System and a Trustee of the Houston Grand Opera Association, Northwestern University and the Texas Heart Institute.
