ProStart 2007

The Central High School 2007 ProStart Culinary and Management teams won the state competition. We represented Iowa at the National ProStart Invitational in April. We did not place in the top 5, but gain a wealth of experience. The Management team members were Berten Lisenbee, Jessica Jernigan, Matt Wakeen, and Loniesha Bates with Brittney Bailey as alternate. The Culinary team members were Hollee DeSpain, Raymond Jones, Cassidy Thompson, and Dylan Winckler with Matt Wakeen as alternate.

The menu for the culinary competition was: Starter - Sweet Baby Lettuce And Endive Salad with Fruit and Orange Vinaigrette Dressing; Entrée Bronze Pork Medallions, Braised Red Cabbage with Apples Gastrique, Carrot Parcel and Parmesan Polenta; Dessert – Cinnamon Spice Crepes with Blackberry Filling and White Chocolate Grand Marnier Sauce.
