  • Yearbook Receives First Class Honor

Congratulations goes out to the yearbook staff for receiving a “First Class Honor” rating from the National Scholastic Press Association’s annual yearbook critique. The 2019 Blackhawk yearbook went up against yearbooks from around the country to receive a rating of 465 out of 500 and with “Marks of Distinction” in the areas of:

    • Writing and editing
    • Design
    • Photography

The judge wrote, “The staff and adviser are to be commended for all the work that was done to create a publication that represents the school community. The theme was carried through with phrases and graphics. There was strong photography, and coverage of many aspects of the school year with stories and designs. Continue to follow guidelines of style, visual and verbal standards that make a yearbook well-done.”

    Congratulations to the yearbook staff!
